Paid Traffic Q?

I just used TrafficOut.com on my petitekittens.com site and I saw an increase of about a thousand hits a day. I was able to track the bounce rate using google analytics and what sites they were sending traffic from. I noticed that my bounce rate went way up to almost 80%. Before I used them I had a bounce rate of about 48%.

Now they claim that all the traffic is qualified and is only sent using clearly written links. I check one of the traffic sources ( http://retnuh.com/ ) and after a few refreshes I found my link. The link said "kittens". I'm not quite sure this is a clear link to a site about teen porn given that retnuh.com is not really a porn site. It looks like more of a badly designed blog that gets lots of hits. Also my avg. time on site went from 6.8 min. to 39 sec. which mean none of the people hitting my site wanted to see teen porn. I figure that they saw a link that said kittens and thought that they were going to see a site about kittens.

Has anyones else used these guys? I think it is kinda lame. I mean yes I did get more traffic but I don't think it was qualified traffic. I only paid $35 for 5K hits so it's not that bad. I probably won't use paid traffic after that though.

What do you guys think?

Traffic from those kind of brokers is mostly crap, don't expect to much from it. Try buying traffic directly from site owners or buy ad spots.

The traffic you know buy are users that get directed to your site and close it within the first 10 seconds. You need to buy a lot of it before seeing any results.

TrafficOut traffic is actually quite good and way better than most broker traffic and worth the price if your sites are good. However, for most sites purchased traffic is nearly worthless, IMO.

for me, buying traffic did nothing. I mean it sounds great and its like whoa "i can go from 5 hits a day to 5k hits??" but its really shitty traffic. I was getting 1k + hits per day to my site when i paid for traffic but only got like 10 hits to my sponsors which speaks for itself. now that my account balance is $0 with the traffic company im somehow getting around 1k hits a day anyways, about 80% google now. But i still havent made a sale yet. I say buying traffic is a waste if you expect to pay $5 and make $500 but i guess it does get u a good bit of exposure and a chance that some of those visitors might come back and might buy something in the future. So i wouldnt say its a good or bad idea, fuck it...throw a few dollars on some traffic, i never heard of more traffic hurting a site, so it cant be too bad

If you're looking to buy traffic, go with Trafficholder. You can buy traffic by niche, by geo-location, or by domain. Plus, they filter out all the garbage no-cookie and Chinese traffic. And their prices are very reasonable!

Check www.chokertraffic.com for quality niche-targetted traffic...
