I started a niched free membership site and am advertising on ppc and its working to bring people in. In the first month it's brought me about 300 free members and Ive spent about $400 to get that.
I was wondering is this good?

My business plan is to wait until I am packed with members, then start charging fees for extras. But for now everything is free to get them in the door.

In my personal opinion that doesn't sound bad at all. You figure if you upped your monthly budget to about ten times that over the oncoming months you can have a huge amount of active quality members in no time.
