Any Money in a Lingerie Website?

I am new to this forum, I shoot a lot of models and was wondering if someone more knowledgeable here could tell me if there would be any money in a lingerie site probably like girls 18-24 or something - no nudity? I know there is a lot of free stuff out there, so thats why I am unsure.

Or is there a large enough money difference to where if I am going to spend the time, should I be shooting nude models?

Also, could anyone comment on average conversion ratio's for adult websites?

Thanks.

average conversion is about 1:500

there is money in everything. How much money is the question. you should set up one site and see how you go. if you make money, make plenty more of them.

Knowing all the women around that buy lingerie you'll probably do alright on it. I have done e-commerce sites before and they do well. You just need to get them started correctly and have a little bit of luck!

thanks for the posts, that makes it sound promising. and I agree, marketing is the key; also a 1 in 500 conversion ratio sounds decent too.

What would be the "right content" if I am only dealing with lingerie?

Also, do you think I should build several sites featuring only one model each? or one website with all of the models?

I'm only a newbie, but I have some experience in the modeling field. If I were in your shoes I would do one "showcase" website and set it up with sections for each model. Additionally, I would set up a separate site for each model. I would make the showcase site free, but place sponsor ads on it or setup a CPM program like AdultAdWorld to get some income from it.

Then, I would charge a small monthly fee for the individual sites. If your models are up for it, you could set up live chat and webcam feeds and those particular sites could make some damn good money. Work out a split with the model. This will also get the model involved in the marketing of her own website in the form of forum posts, emails or even business cards possibly.

These are just some ideas and may be taken with a grain of salt, however if I were in your position this is probably the path I would take.

Best of luck to you,

SG

We're on the same boat. I'm getting ready to launch a non-nude glamour paysite. I do all my content since I'm a photographer on top of being an experienced webmaster. This is my first adult oriented site, and with the replies in this thread it looks like it's something worth pushing for.

I currently have 8 models, and I don't see any problems of me getting more models, even amateurs and non-models because of the whole "non-nude" setup of the site.

Let's share ideas or something

using adultadworld = shooting yourself in the foot.
They're in bed with Zango (spyware) and are all over the content stealing sites like shooshtime, tehvids etc
