Questions about Google Adwords
If you've used -- or are using -- Google Adwords would you mind sharing with me what you're paying -- on average -- for a click?
You don't need to go into any detail about keywords or divuldge any trade-secrets. Just a bottom line figure that represents what you feel a precisely targeted click is worth. If however you are OK with giving out some details -- publicly or privately -- I'd be real interested in hearing them. In general, I'm trying to get some comparisons between paying for SEO vs. Adwords. Thanx in advance for your input, Neil

The most cost effective method is to Google the words SEO Search Engine Optimization and spend about a month reading everything you can.
Create a Webmaster account on Google and digest all of the stats they're giving you, all the links they're giving you -- not just what the information is but why is it important to Google. Do it yourself is the best appoach. Do not believe ANYTHING you read on this board about SEO, including this Kesey |

Before you know how much you can spend, you need to know how much you are earning.
Every site is different and as such, the answer any person gives you is completely irrelevant to you. Look at the traffic you have coming to your site now (total traffic for the month) ... you want unique visitors. Now write down how much you earned for that month. Now divide how much you've earned for the month by the # of unique visitors you've had and that will tell you about what each visitor to your site is worth. TOTAL UNIQUES TOTAL EARNINGS 12,091 (about 403 per day) $1,540 (about $51 per day) Based on these sample numbers, each unique visitor who comes to your site is worth about $0.13. That means based on these numbers (pretending they were yours) that you need to spend less than $0.13 per click to make a profit. HOWEVER all of that being said, the second you spend money to send you traffic things change ... keep a close eye on your stats and what you are earning. See if you have a turn for the worse or the better and adjust how much you spend accordingly. |
