I have tried a few of these traffic providers. I guess they are ok for certain types of sites but all they did for me was screw up my visitor retention stats (when 99.9% of "visitors" look at one page and leave). Personally, I think its better to have a few clicked vistors than thousands who arrive at your site by some pop under or redirect method and quickly close the browser.
I have got most of my business paying for it from google and yahoo and whilst it is expensive, at least it converts and is retainable. Now trying to educate myself on all the tricks I should be doing to get free or cheaper traffic and I must say this board is a great resource with some serious professionals (and no doubt a few scoundrels too !) |
