Mind looking at my blog?
I've got a blog I've recently started at wordpress.com and moved to heartgnosis.com so I'm wondering if anyone might mind checking it out? I've been trying to pay close attention to the tutorials and use what works for me that they mention.
I'm not going for a straight porn site, I'm trying to offer genuine and dynamic content, also. Feel free to let me know what you think so far, but please keep in mind that I'm basically operating on no budget at all and am lucky enough to have a friend providing my hosting at this point. Thank you! PS - Sorry I can't direct link but at this time I'm not allowed to do that. |

First, you need to make sure your sites are links. No one is going to do you two favors ( the first one being the copy/paste your URL ).
Plus, I've heard blogs are not very profitable. Anybody who knows how to type's got a blog and most of the time it's boring. |

although i find the template you used very soothing, it looks like a free template.
maybe design or pay someone to design you something that will be unique to you and your site. i know you have a shoestring budget, but a little money well spent is often necessary for growth. keep at it |

Yeah the layout sure looks like a generic template, but I think the most important thing that its lacking is pictures. There is just too much text with no images.

Although search engines will love all the text, I agree that it needs more pictures/graphics. Best of Luck!

I have to agree about the generic template... Word press has a LOT of free templates and most of them are a lot more pleasing to the eye.

Properly done, blogs can be extremely profitable, but like you say, the vast majority suck and from what I've seen, especially with all the Thumblogger blogs, too many people think blogs are the next TGPs.

Thanks for the helpful replies! I'll try to respond to the issues ya'll brought up.
baycouples: I put the link in my sig so hopefully that will help make it easier. I wasn't aware I could do that as a new user. About the template, yes it's generic free wordpress stuff. I just grabbed something to toy around with at the start. I fully intend to buy my own once I either make some money or sweet talk a friend into it since I'm flat broke right now. At least now maybe he'll take it more seriously when I suggest a new design for the site! About not having pictures, you guys are absolutely right and I'm getting right on that. First I'll be posting up my own photos of different things to spike it a bit, then I'm going to try and purchase some pics/videos/etc. Hammer: I agree about blogs (or any site if done with care and serious effort) being able to successful. I'm doing my damnedest to avoid turning it into another splog and keep the content fresh by endorsing things I personally care about since the blog's essentially about me. Also, thanks a ton for your Hammer Uncut blog and the podcasts. I used to listen back when I wasn't forced to use dial-up!

Instead of purchasing pictures why don't you just find some sponsors with good content
