Hi-Res Images? And Why ICQ?

I'm new to design for the adult industry, and I've been looking through the portfolios of some of the people here. I've noticed the main concept all the designs have in common are hi-res images of people built in to the design.

Where do designers get these photos? They are very good quality and obviously not your typical stock photos that you'd find at Getty :D

Also, most serious forum users have ICQ listed as their main contact. Why is that? I remember ICQ being popular 10 years ago (not being a smart-ass) but I really didn't know it was still around. Just curious.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I get the hi res images from my clients and/or their photographers. I always ask for the highest resolution that they have in order to create the site.

ICQ - yeah, I know it was pretty popular 10 years ago. I still have my same number from years and years ago, while most people with smaller numbers bought it off ebay. It's something you have to get used to - in order to do business in this industry - you need icq.

Good luck!

You can always purchase rights to high-rez pictures (and even entire galleries...) from some online resellers such as www[dot]club-xstream[dot]com for a nominal fee. That's what I did for my main banners.

Yeah when I first starting visiting GFY I was like 'I didn't even know ICQ was still around'. I'm thinking about downloading it though, I got to reinstall Windows first though cause too much junk shit on here.

I have to admit I was shocked that ICQ was still popular. I am used to AIM & a little MSN sprinkled in. Since joining GFY, I have gotten a new ICQ # since I can't remember my original one.
