how do you become a webmaster?
Hi everyone I am new to the forum. I realize this question maybe even too basic for this bored and I apologize if it has been answered before but I couldnt find it. This is my starting point. I am very frusterated at the moment and need help. I am a photographer with video and photographic equipment constantly meet hot models every week who I refer to webmasters for solo or multi model sites. Some of these sites have totally taken off and are now earning both the webmasters and the models some very decent cash while all I get is a crappy referal fee even though I feel I did most of the work getting the models comfortable and introducing them to the business.
HELP !!!!!!! I have never created, designed or promoted a website in my life. 1) How difficult is this to do and learn? 2) Where do I go to learn how to do this? (remember right now I know jack) 3) How long is this likely going to take me to learn? Thanks in advance for any help you all can give me. I really would appreciate anything. |

well i never wrote a single line of code until about nine months ago and now i run the site below in fact nine months ago i didnt even have my own computer so it dont take long as long as you have a few finaces you should be fine!
best thing to do is start of with practising on how to build webpages and getting to grips with how to do basic html before you get into anything too heavy like php or perl scripting, although the stuff you need to learn to run a tgp is actually very basic! down load a copy of a program like evrsoft 2006 it's free for thirty days and even after that it's only a five second waiting screen but that'll give you a program with functions that will make building the code alot quicker and easier! also go to somewhere like webmonkey(dot)com i cant post links yet so i had to write it like that! they give you nice lessons on how to start off with basic code it may sound like complete giberish to start off with but it's actually really simple you just have to get you head past that your actually learning a new form of lanuage! even though it's just a very simple shorthand version of english it can still be a bit confusing for the first few hours or maybe days if your not so quick at picking things up! but go into other peoples sites after you start to under stand the code aliitle and see how thay have built thingsto give you ideas! this wont always work as things like flash and php script dont show up in a pages sorce code! but after awhile im sure youll get the hang of it! if you have any questions just ask me! hope that helped! |

honestly this can take quite long but you could do it.. you have probably been doing the most difficult thing already.
