forum software
ive been using phpbb for years and its crap in the respect that these bots add in there usernames and urls into my system causing it to be filled with spam constantly. anyone can recommend a good forum script, open source that kicks it?
perhaps one that imports phpbb?

people used to use YaBB, and it did ok for small to medium sized boards
if you have or expect to have a larger forum with a few hundred posts a day or whatever its best to pay for vbb, being cheap now can be costly later
