PayPal And Adult Webmaster Programs
I have a couple of questions: 1) Is it ok to be paid by Adult Webmaster programs through your Paypal bank account? I am not talking about putting the Paypal payment gadget on an adult website. What I am talking about is allowing adult webmaster programs (with largely innocuous names like Silver Cash or Max Cash) to pay into your paypal bank account. I am not in the US, so I don't have a US bank account. International payments are expensive and would seriously cut into my profits, especially if I am to receive relatively small amounts of money from many different programs. 2) Are there alternatives to Paypal? Mainly Paypal type programs where you can simply be paid, like a bank account, and that has no problem with the adult industry. They also have to cater to european clients, like myself. 3) What are the good webmaster programs out there? Which ones are known to pay out, and not skimp on the conditions, rates, etc. I know there are entire websites dedicated to hating paypal, so I am trying to find out what works and what would get my account suspended. I already have an account with them, so that part is already set up. WebmasterX2005 |

PayPal don't allow adult transactions but unfortunately epassporte isn't really anywhere near what you would call an "alternative".

PayPal And Adult Webmaster Programs
I just read up, and CCBill allows customers to write "electronic checks".
I have no experience with that. However, what puts me off is that they charge 12%? That is a lot of money to give up. |

PayPal And Adult Webmaster Programs
Also, this article appeared a year ago. Is there any development in this direction I have missed? There were rumours that they would allow 'adult' payments.
Google to launch PayPal rival? Anonymous CEO kisses and tells... By Jo Best Published: Monday 20 June 2005 Google could be about to launch its own internet payments service to rival eBay-owned PayPal. According to a report in the New York Times, speculation about the new payment service arose following discussion at a conference held by analyst house Piper Jaffray, where the chief executive of a major online retailer spilled the beans. The CEO, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said Google had approached his company to take part in the online payments service. Google did not respond to requests for comment on the reports. Any potential move into the payments sector could prove lucrative - PayPal earned eBay $233m in the first quarter of this year. However, should Google decide to enter the online payments arena, it may affect the company's relationship with one of its largest advertisers, PayPal parent eBay. Stranger things have happened. Google is already rumoured to be venturing into new territories such as VoIP, and has added a number of new services to its portfolio of late, including a maps and local services feature; a browser toolbar and domain registry. |
