How important are logos?
Hey folks
How important are logos in adult websites? I have a bunch of logos I'm playing with. One matches the background and the other one is a bit larger with a different darker color. The other one sort of matches like pornhub matches with all the colors. Which one do you think I should use? The other one was the classic logo used for my site but I had someone make a new one. I just don't want to switch and of a sudden have less sales. But I think content is what matters. |

The logos are not important at all unless you're trying to create a brand. The main focus should be ease of use, like one-handed navigation.

- Seriously though put yourself in the shoes of the visitor. Do you really give a fuck about this sites logo? Or do you care more about busting a nut to some girls sweet tits and ass? Logo's don't matter. Don't get too hung up on it. I knew a guy once who lost 3 weeks of productivity getting hung up on designing the "perfect" logo.

When I launched my first adult sites in 2015, I deliberately did not use a logo. The site name was in the top left corner, in plain text. I also ignored a lot of other things that a lot of people think you have to do. Everything about the sites was incredibly basic--the design, the look and feel, the structure. The only emphasis was on function: show things that people want to click on in the simplest way possible.
I was able to build those sites to over $800/day in revenue. I dominated google for half a year with those sites. Without a logo. With a comically basic design that you would look at and say "this site sucks." So no, logos are not important. Function and content are important. |

Depends how cool you want to be.
I know surfers might not give a shit about a logo, but if you are out at conventions or branding yourself among the world, you might want something. I wouldn't pay a shitload of money for it though. I once had someone offer me logos for thousands of dollars. Total scam job. (But he would render me separate formats) It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work with RGB color or PNG files.

Personally, I see it as an important factor. It is like entering in store with cheap logo writing compared to the store where they are taking care of every detail so you are aesthetically pleased.
I simply believe more and tend to stay in the second ones. Today, quality traffic is hard to get to one of your goals is to increase conversions and I think a well-designed logo is helpful.

For the adult space, if someone said would I be more concerned about improving my site's logo, or writing a blog post on naked girls in heels, it would be the latter. People are looking for pics of hot girls, they aren't worried about the logo.

I used to think logos are important when I started out, now I pay zero attention to it tbh.
Logos mean much for sites like pornhub etc. which already have a significant slice of the pie. Or when you offer something that really stands out
