I'm a small time webmaster who is really an illustrator who knows very little about running a paysite, but here I am three years after my webmaster actually died... Having to do both the art to update with, maintain the sites with the help of a friend and then also promote as much as I can inbetween actually drawing updates, mainstream illustration work and family can be tricky at times. So my question is how to get bigger, get more traffic in? Original question huh? Is there a big difference in promoting pornographic illustration sites than photo or video based ones? I'm posting samples of my art around the web, Twitter, Hentai Foundry, Deviant Art, Tumblr, Reddit, several forums now and then, etc... However I feel that those places are not where my paying customers comes from, sad thing I have no idea where they actually found a link to my sites...
What this post boils down to is pretty much trying to figure out what my best bet is? Paid services that will promote for me, are they worth it?
How much does it normally cost to hire someone to create webpages?
My sites as they sit today, need some revamping I know:
