Cant play self hosted wordpress videos on mobile browsers!

I am using mp4 format for self hosted videos on our wordpress site they are successfully running on desktop google chrome browser however they dont work on mobile browsers like puffin, safari etc. Why?
Whats wrong with them?

Can you post a link to the video? Is it running a responsive theme?

Yea, We need more info. A link would be nice. Are you using a 3rd party player or the video tag?

Please first test it by Desktop Chrome and Internet Explorer (also Mozilla) it works.

But for Safari, Puffin and other mobile browsers it doesnt work. Why?

I'm having trouble with iPhones not playing my videos. They are h.264 encoded and the meta data is moved, I'm using phpmelody as a cms, and having all kinds of trouble with iphones right now.

I'd love a good wordpress plugin that would let me categorize and menu my video content responsive and all managed through wordpress...but have yet to find something that works...
