The image is set as Feature Image? Maybe that is missing.

If I do a post manually this is where would add a feature image in the WP add post section




then it looks like this on page



This is manually, 1 post at a time and I have to go through down loading and up loading each individual thumb. which it should work auto from affiliate csv code instead (sorta)

Try using WP Ultimate CSV Importer, with this you can map the feature image (they are locally stored?)

Actualy was hoping to use the affiliates img src so to not absorb too much space. An img src is an img src right? Shouldnt matter long as its <img src="http://www.source_address.example"> yes?

The CSV file must have a header for each column.
Also make sure that it is text, looks like an XL file.
To use external image as feature image there are some wordpress plugins (but i never used them).

text? like note pad or does it have to be in excel? or is that a dumb question? lol

Feature image is same as thumb right? if affiliate code has thumb address it should work, instead of having to go to each and every one to get an image to upload. that would be a brain f***, worse than what I'm already trying to deal with lol.

The think is that wordpress dont use external picture as feature, so in this case there are some plugins that can do the job. But I cannot recommend any as I never used them.

Other option is change the php code from your index.php page and get the image from a custom field.

looks like first here is title of csv file which idk why what ever random "file" name given to file should even matter except to help me know which file im working with.

I think this gonna help a few ppl.
here how it works.
ok I used All Import, easy to figure out and seems to work.
upload the .txt zipped csv into all import then hit next till you get to the post template edit.




Drag an drop your elements from right panel to make template.



{title} goes in the post title...duhhh
{url} and {thmb} go in content text panel with tad of code like this
<a href="{url}">
<img src="{thmb}">
</a>
hit preview button to see if you got it right. it should show window with title and clickable img that links to the affiliate video or whatever.
If all is well there hit next.

Set categories and tags



Click finish and wait.



once that's done the posts are all there.

But wait a sec...wheres all my featured images???? oh the headaches this has caused me!!!!

Once again, Thank you Bruno, your suggestion help me find this. We just thinking in wrong direction though.

WP (choke me plz) has issue with allowing an external (url) img for featured img. PERIOD.
most all the feature img from url plugins i tried, and i tried ALOT, didn't work right.

Then I typed in plugin search " feature image generator"...
then downloaded and installed and activated it. Located it and launched it.
think this is it...


Set up the settings, clicked bulk/batch generator tab at top . Then ran batch generator till all post were feature imaged.









So far this has worked with xhamster codes and since first run seems to be auto feature imaging them now no problem. < I have no freaking clue how the he... anywho seems to work so far.
tried a hustler code, but some reason i think i didn't get coded right cause it didn't feature img when i ran it. so back to drawing board on that one.

Its a bit odd but I'm a hell a lot further than I once used ta was.
