My nigga, everybody and they mutha got a tube site. Either make a super targetted niched joint, or be creative and try some new shit. The big general joints is pretty much established and shit, aint nobody checkin for some next one unless them shits get shut down. Feel me? Its a wrap for tryin to be the next pornhub or tube8 my nigga. And if you pushin some wack ass cookie cutter white lable joint tryin to hit jackpot, you might as well click here.
“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
The best and the fastest way is to buy traffic but if you are not willing to spend money on it.
Let's say I spend $300 a month on traffic to a new tube site. Site is very good, with 10 minute videos, lets say, mostly from Bangbros.com and FuckYouCash.com (and 10 other sponsors with long and good videos like that). I could possibly buy some amateur videos and add it to the site. In general, I would have 1,000 separate pages of clips (50 on each of the pages or so), all very good and professional, and so on...
In general the tube would be top possible quality and so on. With $300 per month spent over a period of, lets say, 6 or 12 months, how would I be getting these money back (ROI)?
- direct traffic coming back to the site (it would be good to work on adding fresh clips)
- flat rate ads (direct, not through ad networks)
- clicks and impressions on ads from places like exoclick
- possibly a popunder (but this slows a growth of a site)
- selling traffic to some other tubes / sites
- trading traffic
I mean, how would I get to the point when the site is actually profitable with $300 per month invested / spent. How does it work? Is it a matter of building it up for several years, and buying some kind of traffic for the entire time?
I am just wondering how it works in general. I know that there is a lot of tubes out there, but I also know that it is possible to build it up to a high Alexa rank, and make it profitable at the same time (you need to know what you are doing though).
Every type of xxx site can be profitable. It is just a matter of knowing how to do it though.
As a photographer, I'm just curious about copyright and grabbing images and putting a watermark on them. I'm not sure how all of this works in the Adult world, I'm just looking in to it.
Any explanation would be great.

It isn't any different than it's elsewhere. Reinforcing rights might be different.
You will know very quickly if you are getting a return on investment. If you are buying traffic from multiple avenues, be sure to key the landing page. I hope you know PHP/MySql.
If you do not know how to do this, stop, get a "For Dummies" book, and learn. Otherwise, simply give me the money and I will waste it promptly for you. You will lose money on some sources and, if you are lucky, you will make money on others. In Month 2, STOP buying traffic from the sources that lose money for you and try others. It's really that simple.
There are literally thousands of sources of traffic, and some of them are the same traffic being marketed or marked up and re-marketed under different names. If you are not analyzing the individual sources, again, just go ahead and give me the money.
Another fun thing about bought traffic vs Social or SEO: When you run out of money, the traffic will STOP. Oh, sure, you might get a teeny, tiny loyal following who like your logo colors or somehow think your site is the only spot they can find that video of the prettiest porn star they've ever seen pinching her nipples, but as CyberHustler mentioned, everybody and their pet iguana has a tube site.
So let's back up - You asked your questions in reverse importance. If you are not clear on how to best monetize your site, why do you need any traffic at all? Make sure you have some way to get money FROM your visitors before you spend money ATTRACTING them.
If you're an avid GFY reader, you'll see that a great deal of bandwidth is spent on rants against slimy affiliate programs. For now (and for some sites, maybe forever), a better bet for you than trying to weed through the - again - THOUSANDS of affiliate programs out there to find a good, reliable fit for your site is to simply run banners from an ad network that pays per click. There are a few good ones, and I have never had or heard of a bad experience with JuicyAds:
