    Starting a adult webcam business

HI there everyone , i am in the process of starting up a adult webcam online business and was looking for some help/advice on how to do that legally? Please take note that i cannot do this legally in Singapore(where i'm from) as it's not legal. So I'm finding a way to see if it's possible to start up this online business based in any other country like the USA?

So if let's say i form a company(LLC) in the Usa , would it be considered a legal business if i run it from there? do i even need to form a company ? I have been searching around and can't really find any solid answers. I have checked with a few lawyers in the USA and from what they had told me i could register and form a company in the USA and do business legally but i am wondering .. do i really need to register a online adult business?

I mean can't i just form a company in offshore countries like belize, panama etc , get a merchant account and bank account and do this business? Atleast this way i don't have to pay taxes. but if i form a company in usa i might be legally protected as i will get a lawyer to settle all the legal documents for me such as the below:

    Privacy policy
    DMCA
    Terms of use
    Kids protection
18 U.S.C 2257 record keeping requirements compliance statement etc etc

So can anyone tell me if i really need to form a company in the US or i could do it in offshore countries or which would be a better idea? Getting a lawyer to help me with the above legal documents will cost me around $1500 and also there are other fees too like taxes, state filing fees, business license fees, etc. So any help or advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you

You are always under the laws of your own country. Additionally you are under the laws of the country where your company is, where your webserver is, and if your business clearly targets some country with certain ways you may also be under the laws of that country.

So, it really depends that how this adult webcam business is illegal in Singapore. And if you can do it, then you most probably need a company outside Singapore, because then it is the legal entity that practises the business, not you.

About the USA, you don't need to have USA company to do business in/to USA, at least not in most cases. But evading the taxes is a bit tricky if you plan to use your money outside Panama, etc (or whatever place you choose). And even getting the money untaxed to Panama, etc. is not easy if you don't operate your business from Panama and really work there, the webcams are there, etc. Forget the tax evading.

If you can post the Singapore law (in English) that forbids this business in there, I can give you my amateur opinion about that. Or better yet, call to some local Singapore help phone, most countries have such to help business.

Hi i can't find the laws stating it's illegal to do a adult business in singapore but for what i know it's even not allowed to watch porn onilne.. the internet providers block all site possiable. not to mention we can have any video , dvds , magazines etc too... so you can imagine how the law is here.

I'm actually not even trying to avoid taxes, but finding a way to do this legally. like operating it from a overseas entity/company.And i'm looking at coutries that have least tax , or no tax like nevada in the US. Or panama or belize etc at the moment.

Why do you need to file as a business?

I would focus on trying to build a website that has any traction in the first place.

If you ever get to a place that makes any money, then you can start tying up loose ends on the legal side.

I would just ensure I'm not hosting anything on Singaporean servers. And I don't know anything about Singapore, but it sounds smart and prudent to start using a VPN from now on.

make sure you host the sites in the US and you are half way there.

I would start with a simple site and make sure you get traffic and then take it to bigger things.

I forgot to answer this one, but there is not much to answer anyway. You really need to figure out the laws about pornography. There might not be a law that says "Porn business is illegal" or "Porn business is legal.", you have to figure about the whole picture. At least you need to establish foreign company, foreign staff or relocate yourself to be totally legit. If the laws are strict enough you can be prosecuted anyway. The main thing is that you need to figure out the "reach" of the law. For example is it illegal to watch porn in Singapore or is it illegal for Singaporeans to watch porn in anywhere.

For example you can get your ass slapped for trafficking nukes in Somalia, but usually not watching porn in Somalia, even if watching porn illegal in your own country.. regarding actions from your own country, Somali jihadists may think otherwise.. so be careful out there.

You might want to make note, getting a merchant account isn't an easy thing to do (at least I didn't find it to be that way) so you may want to look into finding a way to do that as well before worrying about actually forming your LLC.
