Starting a dating a niche dating site

My lovely bride is starting a niche dating site. It will be for adults, including matchmaking, webcam, IM & blog functions. It will also tie in with existing social media (twitter, tumblr, facebook, etc.). I was 'hired' as the intern to help her get this up and running.

I looked at some white label solutions but those that I found do not have questions for subscribers that cover my niche. So, I am looking at either buying something like SkaDate or Dolphin - or coding something from scratch. Some solution that allows me to build questions inclusive of multiple gender and sexual identities, dating preferences that are specific to the niche and in multiple languages for subscribers, based on where they live.

I'd love to hear any / all solutions, suggestions, warnings or...anything on how to do this well or better or even what not to do.
