Photoshop Question

I hope this is not a stupid question, but how do you creat a maks, or airbrush the pictures of the girls to make them so clean and smooth. Any assistance would be appreciated. Email me at [email protected]

Let's assume you are using two pictures, a background picture and a top picture (Layer 1 and 2)

Select layer #2
In the layer tool box, on the bottom, you see a box with a circle in it. It's ADD A MASK. Click on it. You will see a link appear next to your image on the layer box.
Your colors will go to black and white.

I recommend you put the opacity of this layer at 50% now so that you can see the bottom layer.

Use the airbrush and make sure BLACK is selected as the foreground color. Wherever you paint in black will remove from this layer and show the bottom layer.

I don't think you understand my question. I want to airbrush my picutres for my tour so they are smooth and bright. What tool do you use and how do you apply it? Any help you are willing to give is appreciated.

Kisses and Hugs,

Kelly

I just use a "feathered" brush about 50 or so in size (and about 50% pressure) to go over the face areas. Use single clicks instead of dragging the mouse.

Be sure you grab the appropriate colors by using the eyedropper tool.

Best results is if you zoom in and do it. Alternate between hotkeys "B" (brush) and "I" (eyedropper) for fast brushing.

Try experimenting with "unsharp mask" and contrast/brightness.

If you're having trouble figuring out Photo Shop, you might try Micrografx Picture Publisher. I use it and it's very intuitive, easy to use, and requires very little system resources (memory) compared to doing the same functions in Photo Shop.

I realize Photo Shop is considered the industry standard for photo editing but there are other inexpensive programs that perform the same functions easier, with fewer steps. Not to mention less costly...

(Just my 2 centavos)
