    Tube / Mobile tube

    Most affiliate sponsors offer .flv videos u can put on your tube site. FLV means flash player video. As we all know, flash is not supported on Apple devices (Iphone/Ipad/.......) and Android standard browser has not automatically installed the flash plugin.

    Because I have a lot of mobile traffic, I am afraid I am loosing a lot of potential customers. The standard will be HTML5(web/mobile) and is already in most cases for mobile devices. But those support formats like mp4,ogg,3gp,....... How to resolve this ? I am already using mediaelement.js but most affiliates still offer only .flv !

      Your affiliates might not like it if you convert there video's, but you can ask them... I don't usually promote other forums but Doom9.org is the place to go for video format help. Those guys are super video format geeks. But be warned they speak video format language which is a subset of the English language and include weird words.

          How does a big tube site does this ? They converted all their .flv's to formats like .wmv, .ogg, .mp4,.....and host it on their own server ? I can't afford that.

              The most of them do it this way. But you can redirect the traffic to good sponsors. This way you still monetize that traffic!
