A question for you webmasters out there with adult membership sites: Do you limit your members downloads to a certain limit? Like 3 gig a day or 5 gig a day? Is that a reasonable amount for the average porn user? Do you get a lot of complaints about it?

We do not restrict our customers, but we DO watch out for those using double the normal amount, which may indicate an auto downloader, which is forbidden.

We use Throttle Box and have a 14 gig limit per hour Most of our videos are fairly large so this allows them about 4 15 min videos.

To start out you have to do some tweeking to get the settings right and you might drop an account or 3 but its worth it in the long run. We spend half the time now sending out DMCA's and more time keeping the members happy.
