What do you think of an Image Hosting Page to get traffic?

Evening,

I did exactly what you are speaking off, even used the same script. I allowed adult content. With zero self advertising my site took off to pushing more then 12k requests a second with a sustained bandwidth of 480Mbps, chewing up GB's of bandwidth in an hour. Sadly I did NOT do anything but run adsense, and sadly I only made like a buck. Sadly the only proof I have is before I peaked, anthonysblog.net/the-power-of-lighttpd

So I can honestly say good luck but don't plan on making a crap load of money first, but once your name is out that you allow adult image hosting, prepare to be taken on.

Just my 2 cents.

I guess it will suck if no money comes from it to allow it to run, but I can't see not trying and see what happens.

You are right, just remember bandwidth, in less then 2 months we were at our slow point sustaining 50Mbps which is like what 15TB's of traffic in a month.

However honestly good luck, if you need any help tweaking up your server I would be glad to help.

Honestly just put on the site that you allow adult content, it is amazing how fast the word spreads. I did zero advertising, zero posting, zero anything but the "if you build it they will come." and boy did they come.

For sure, you will get many visitors but image traffic doesn't convert well.
