    Critique to www.PrettyBabeTube.com

    Hello Everyone,

    I'm a noob. And this is my first attempt at building a site. I would say this is pretty close to a 1.0 release. Still learning the ropes, but here it is... http://www.prettybabetube.com.

    I would appreciate any critiques/compliments/comments you might have. If you have any questions too, I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks.

      I spent a few minutes looking at this site and found the following issues:

      1. There's a home link on the home page.
      2. Sponsors page needs a list of sponsors with links.
      3. Blog Roll section in the footer is empty.
      4. Follow links in the footer for twitter, facebook, myspace, and rss need links.
      5. Link exchange in the footer leads to a 404 error.
      6. repetitive titles in some gallery pages.
      7. Home page needs a categories menu. Solo, Hardcore, Redhead, etc.

      Until these features are functional, It's best to hide them.

      Rating, banner ads, videos, and comments seam to work fine.

                              Really? I clicked all the ads, and they're working for me from different locations. Could you tell me which ad on the page, top, right, body? Thanks.

                                  Thank you. If I'm honest, I'm starting to lose some steam. I'm signing up with other sponsors, so I can fill this thing with more content, and I'm thinking of buying traffic for this in the not too distant future, but I fear it might be a waste of time and money. So yeah, my motivation is waning.

                                  I feel like I'm just aimlessly putting things together, but without vision. No real direction. But I'm not giving up yet, I just need to recoup the hours of sleep my 10-month old robbed me of this week maybe then I'll have a renewed sense of purpose. Thanks again.

                                      Only if this site gets large amounts of traffic, should you add more sponsors. The reason why is that if you get x hits a day.

                                      averageTrafficToSponsor=hitsPerDay/numberOfSponsors

                                      For example if you have 100 visitors a day, and Twisty's Cash for a sponsor.

                                      averageTrafficToSponsor=100/1

                                      That's 100 visitors for Twisty's Cash.

                                      If you have 100 visitors a day, and 10 sponsors.

                                      averageTrafficToSponsor=100/10

                                      That's 10 visitors for Twisty's Cash, and an average of 10 to each other sponsor.



                                      I feel like I'm just aimlessly putting things together, but without vision. No real direction. But I'm not giving up yet...

                                          Oh, by content, I mean vids. I have two sponsors on this site. Fleshlight and Twistys. You're absolutely right with the math. Although, I am using OpenX to rotate through all of Twisty's products and Fleshlight's. I know there's going to be a hit there somewhere -- I think.

                                                          I say get some text on there. You need to start drawing in search engine traffic and I promise you google is not sitting there watching your videos ;) Write some scintillating descriptions!! Also If I may be biased for a moment I'd say that you should handle a fetish area and I can supply you with videos ;) Fetish sells!

                                                                  Are you going to put more video's on this site? As it is, 2 pages with video is a little slim imho.

                                                                  I do think i would do the layout a little diffrent. The video previews a little smaller, so there will fit more of them on the page and the right side with the ads and stuff, i would make smaller.
                                                                  Same for the footer.

                                                                  I had to click the banner for ULust.com. Thats a fking briljant one. I just might check out to see how it works code wise and incorperate it in my website. For that, i will apologize already: i'm sorry for stealing the idea! ;)

                                                                      Go for it. Not much to steal. Everything I've used is well known here. But on top of that there isn't much to be gleaned from the code behind, you won't see anything but html/css/javascript. The stuff that handles the other goodies are in PHP.

                                                                      Everything you see is out-of-the-box with minor tweaks from me. The vanilla setup is Wordpress/Free WP Tube Theme/TradePulse, with a dash of OpenX. So I can't really change the sizes of the pics without delving more into the code which I want to avoid. Thanks for the critique, though.

                                                                      Lastly, there's a robot that spits out a video every day in the back. I just signed up with vidz.com and so now the robot will load 2 videos automagically.

I'm a newbie myself but something I learned early on (that I didn't see mentioned) is that you should probably be thinking more along the lines of 10+ sites as a network (link wheel type), instead of putting all your time into one that is going to be really hard to get traffic in a niche like that

                                                                                              Don't know if you're still looking for a critique but plain and simple is good! Easy to navigate is also a big plus, I would add just a tad bit more design to it myself, just to keep the viewer there.

I do not know what is missing. A logo with your website name? Some how I did not feel welcome. May be you should compare your website to other tube sites. No categories. No recommendations. You write on your site: Todays free videos. ... My first thought was only the videos on the frontpage were free. I would not bookmark a website where I get only the videos on the frontpage.
