    Anyone use Viavoice?

    I was thinking of using it to save some time, but I wondered if anyone else had tried it.

    I was told Dragon went tits-up, so I guess that isnt an option

      IBM viavoice ? a friend from the college uses it and he said its pretty good

      But I prefer to type, hehe

          I picked up a copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking and works pretty good. Now all I have to do is program it with all those naughty words

              I picked up ViaVoice and a good Labtech headset last month and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. It was fun but took quite a bit of time to set the program to recognize my particular speech pattern. Spent about five minutes to get it to stop outputting "and her" when I said "enter." As far as saving time goes, I type much faster than I can open the program and copy the text once I finish speaking.
              Your mileage may vary.
              But, I still get some use outta the headset by going to dialpad.com.

                  I think it was ViaVoice I was using. Cool program. I also, could type faster than I could speak and my voice would get tired. I also found that you had to speak real slow or the machine would screw up.

                      I tried it, but it made too many mistakes, even after thorough "training" and I ended up spending more time fixing its mistakes than I could ever save by using it.

                          yeah it could after all teach me to type faster?

                          I played with it a bit already today, it was fun, if anything else. At least it spelled the mistakes correctly
