I will say 2 things about what that arctile says to me.

Many predict small operators will soon start deserting the business in droves.

1. Thank god! I think this industry would benefit from losing the kids and fly by night people who expect to get rich over night using questionable methods on their sites. Which brings me to my next comment.

2. Many of the newer people and some novices are intent on forcing the surfer where they want them to go (I've seen more and more popup windows that are larger than the screen and alot of newbie surfers don't know about alt+f4. Even worse I've seen ones that dont close at all). What in the hell ever happend to good old fashion quality advertising?

but i think on the long term we don't have to worry about the online porn bizz, as long as sex remains taboo and as long "nobody likes porn". therefore i was happy bush was elected as president of the usa instead of gore. bush is so extremely old-fashioned, short-sighted, conservative and just stupid sex will only become more taboo. but humanity really won't become less horny suddenly . so that leads to more people looking for satisfaction on the anonymous internet!
way to go bush, you help the adult biz more than anyone could do!

but it's true the net's getting more saturated all the time but this will stop SOMEtime... namely the moment that it won't be worth the effort anymore to run a small simple jerky non-maintained adult site.

1. Shake outs always happen. This isn't the worlds first shake out.

2. Porn Profits are down. But other biznesses are closing shop. AllAdvantage had a huge street name, now no longer exists. What about Pets.com?
