need some info on Dialer use plz

Will it work for you? Who knows...... it works for some and it won't work for others, it's just something you have to try for yourself.

How does it work? You upload a small exe file onto your site and put links to it on your sites. link it to a pic, a banner, a popup.... there are many many ways to advertise a dialer..... just whatever you do... DO NOT use the word free with anything to do with or anywhere near your dialer links. Don't even say "free download" as far as I am concerned, dialer sponsors are very tough on this one and you one and if caught doing it you won't get paid. Talk to whoever you get the dialer from and I am almost positive that they will assist you.

Ok, the surfer then downloads this "viewer" and it will then disconnect them from their dialup connection and then connect them to the site that is in your dialer.... they will then be charged on their phone bill to view the porn versus having to use their credit cards to get into the porn sites. The surfer pays a pretty high amount for this, it varies with almost all companies.

Ok, will it make money.... hell YES!! It will make you money, but you can't toss it up and think it's just going to be the answeres to all your prayers, it takes a bit of experimenting to get them to click on it. Alot depends on your traffic, the quality and so forth, numbers don't really mean alot, as with any sponsor, it's quality.

DarkJedi, I think you should also know that many of us are very much against dialers, we feel that they are bad for the industry. The moment the person is connected through the dialer, they start paying some amount per minute for the connection cause it's long distance, typically a small country that has a lot of free phone lines an thus partners with a dialer company. Anyway at the end of the month, the person gets a huge bill from their local phone company and they complain, but still have to pay or their phone will get disconnected. It is a dishonest way to make money and there is no long term growth in it. So now you know the other side of it, at least sort of.

I agree... We should just turn $2.99 trials into $30 memberships after 3 days, and rebill their credit card each month till they cancel their membership. That would be a much better way.

Are dialers save? Isn't is possible to hack the program and just simulate, that you're running the dialer with the 0900-number?
I heard that this is the biggest problem with dialers, because people get your porn for free and you get nothing....

Nitelizard, while I agree with you on one level.... it's not like we MAKE them download and use the software babe. I totally undersatnd where you are coming from and respect that, so don't you dare think I am looking for a fight, I am not about that.

However, it is no more my responsibility if they use the dialer and rack up a phone bill than it is any other sponsor who has a guy that runs like crazy and pops that card number into every form that asks for one and then gets a Credit Card Bill for an unreal amount of money all because he was horny that one night in his dark bedroom with his dick hanging out in the wind.

Nahhh........ they have the rules and the rates right in front of them... same as any other sponsor, there are terms and if they don't follow them then this is not our problem, whether we are dialer sponsors or cc billed sponsors, right? Every dialer software I have ever had experience with will tell them in the terms what it will cost per minute just like the sites using strictly CC's will tell them how much they are rebilled. If they don't see the "rebill" part, is that sponsor then dishonest because the surfer didn't see that part? Hell no!!! LOL

I used to have the same ideas as you have about all of this, but in all the time I have been working for a Dialer sponsor, I have also done my research on them.. and I personally would never pay $2.99 per minute for access to a porn site, but I wouldn't do it for a Psychic, or a 1-900 number or anything else, but there are a shitload of people who do it everyday.

I know this came off a bit harsh, and it wasn't my intention...... I just wanted to speak on the side of the dialers on this. It's a great source of income, bottom line. And if they are dishonest then so are those 900 numbers and Psychic lines.

i signed up for webmastercommerce last week, and i just wanted to know a couple things.. do ad. the dialer do you put the cost of the call on your site? does the dialer say how much it will cost the person if they deciede to use it? and someone said that it costs around 6.00$ a minute?

I think the key to using dialers as revenue, responsibly, is to go with a program that charges the lowest per minute fee and make sure your customer knows exactly what he will be charged. Then, all you are doing is giving them an alternate way to view porn if they don't have a credit card. I personally wouldn't use one on any page that was not entered through a warning/disclaimer page. Since anybody can use it (underage teens,etc.) you would want to protect yourself legally. I don't know the rules for AVS sites, I don't think that they will allow them, but that would be the best choice if they did. This is not an opinion based in experience though. I've never used them...just been thinking about it. There's others on this board that know better than I.
From what I have learned the most important thing is finding a dialer that pays!

i use to feel bad when a surfer gets charged 5 a minute but like tam says this is not much different than dialing 900 number for the psychic line...
just like your phone underage teens and friends can use it without your knowledge and rack up your phone bill....now who is still responible to pay the phone bill?

the problem with average person is that they don't like to take responsibilty for their own actions...and always want to blame it on something else for their problems....
i run a tight ship in my house,,,,i make sure i give out the proper procedures of the do's and don'ts for using my computer and phone..

if the dialer you are using doesn't CLEARLY state the terms and the rates before it dials out then that is not the dialer you should promote....cuz the FTC would shut them down once they find out..
the dialers i promote even have a password protect system..

i myself love the dialer cuz it does not take away your signups that you usually get.
proving that most of the average surfers still do not like to use their credit cards on the web and or don't have one at all..
