Rant Pictures of burning children now OKAY?

I get that this is "Fucking Around & Program Discussion" and lately it seems that anyone can accuse any company or person of whatever they please without any actions being taken - but this shit is just wrong on so many levels:

It sure is and if AVN wants this board to turn into a place where that stuff is shared, then cool. But until then:

Posting images of death, dismemberment, or animal cruelty will not be permitted and will be removed. Violation will result in a banning. We don't want to see that shit here!

I dont get why people feel the need to share that kind of "news", let alone on a forum for adult webmasters.

Must be because they dont have anyone to talk to, apart from the users of GFY.com
That is truely a sad life....

I really don't feel anything when watching those pictures, except wondering that should I feel something.

The self-mutilation pictures and such are more disgusting to me. That kind of victims are even shown in the news with a little heads up about "potentially disturbing images".

I think it's quite normal to not think it's cool to view images of burning or dismembered dead kids - at least if you are a parent.

I do expect a certain amount of lack of emotions in this industry, but even posting images like the ones in that thread should be beneath most of us.

In one way, we're all adults, and sharing graphic images like that should be allowed because its news, especially if you are bring tragic events to light.

On the other hand, this is an adult webmaster forum. It would be nice to see more adult industry topics here, but then again the political and other threads are fun and interesting to read and discuss, and generate more traffic for GFY to sell more ads to keep this site up and profitable. Removing "some" types of discussions would be seen as censorship maybe.

Each of us can "ignore" people who provide little or no interesting content, and I think it is the best way of doing things.

Yes that picture is horrible and tragic, but taken in the context (its tweet), it's important.

there were no racial slurs written in that thread so it's OK.

I don't post any kind of violent or disturbing images, or ever have. Well, I post regular porn, but besides that.

And I didn't say anything about cool, but people die, even kids, and sometimes it is shown in the form of pictures.

I never said you did. If my post could be read as me saying you did, I am sorry. I just meant that directed to the person that posted the image or those that post images like that.

I get porn and nasty porn, at least that is our business(ish) and when I was in the army I expected to and was not surprised to see nasty mutilated and chopped up people. But on a porn industry forum.. not so much.

who gives a monkeys cunt if some people scream 'censorship' if pics of dead/mutilated kids, general gore, people shitting, and so on are deemed to be not allowed on a fucking adult industry business board?

what brain dead cunt thinks it's even a little bit ok to throw pics like those into a thread where the reader has no idea it's coming? is it funny or something? is it because 'everyone must see to realise' or some shit like that?

I honestly can't fathom why anyone would act like such a retarded cunt.

I get porn and nasty porn, at least that is our business(ish) and when I was in the army I expected to and was not surprised to see nasty mutilated and chopped up people. But on a porn industry forum.. not so much.
Like I said, I don't post pictures like that and I don't encourage to do so as there are people those don't want to see pictures like that.

Personally that kind of pictures don't bother me. Pictures about wars, accidents and such don't bother me, but sadism and such go beyond my tolerance, and that's why I don't watch horror movies like Hostel, Hannibal and such. The former informs and shows me what happens in the world and latter is just entertainment that doesn't entertain me. And I cannot control whether I see the first one in IRL, so I must have stomach for it.

Fuck that shit. It's too far out. It's still an industry board. I can take all the stuff you post Harmon, even on my first cup of coffee - it's expected and entertaining. Also sometimes you post awesome and beautiful girls, that makes all the nasty stuff worth it. But dead kids?! Fuck that! At least I have grown a pair large enough to speak up.

It's a small area where I life so there are no full time firefighters here. The system works differently than in the US or in the bigger cities. We aren't EMT's in my country like you are in the US, but we are usually there at the same time as the EMTs and the police. ANYHOW! Since you asked, yes there are a few things that makes me react yes, dead kids being among it. Triple anal fisting, not so much
