Removal of hedgerows to make fields bigger for intensive farming.

Despite the rumours of magazine availability 'under the counter' in newsagents all porn magazines actually used to come from hedgerows.

Since 1984 over 500,000 km of hedgerows in England and Wales have been removed. Less hedgerows = less magazines.

The internet is one reason, but the bigger picture is that the distribution has been limited by small independent shops closing down.

The mom and pop bookstores have been replaced by Walmart and they do not allow adult magazines. The cost to buy space on some newsstands is ridiculous and not financially worth it. The distributors have struggle over the recent depression, some have gone under and other have simply stop paying.

On a brighter note, we are still here and our magazines are some of the top sellers in adult.

Monitor screens wipe clean easier than paper pages.

It's evolution and not innovative destruction ...

Anyone wanting lots of photographs can buy a magazine for $5 and get a few hundred.

Or log onto the Internet and get a few million for free.

          Go figure.

          Pus what Erasmo said.

In the UK mags had to fight for space on a van, sell well you got the space. Don't you didn't. It was tough getting distributed. Today anyone can put 10,000s of pictures on a website with a little skill.
