Yeah, the story is very bizarre. Poor dude...from all accounts, it looks like a case of being the wrong guy, in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

What makes it even more strange, is the neck clamp/lock/bomb that was locked on him has only previously been used (to the FBI's knowledge) in Colombia by extortionists. Very odd.
And no, it didn't blow his head off, it blew a postcard sized hole in his chest, near his heart.
