MICKEY @ AWE .. I'm calling you out. You fucked me out of $11,321 and I have PLENTY OF PROOF

TO THE OPERATOR(s) of GFY:

I am making serious allegations against AWE. I believe they ripped me off for $11,321. I'll be happy to provide you with complete details.

I have tried for weeks to get AWE to discuss the matter with me PRIVATELY.
EVERY email, PM, ICQ and message left with support or my reps failed to get any substantive response from Mickey whatsoever.

The only times he did reply was when I posted on his own message board for all to see.

Posting on GFY was something I tried hard to avoid.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Mickey,

The quote of yours below comes from THIS THREAD

Quote:
To those speculating about AWE 'counting sales funny' - as always any of our affiliates are welcome to do a test signup at any time as long as they let us know afterwards. Account managers are available to help optimize your campaigns if you're seeing a negative change in performance.

MICKEY: Let's see if you live up to your own implied pledge and evaluate the TEST SIGN-UPs in PLAIN VIEW OF EVERYONE ON GFY?

SUMMARY

I allege that AWE fucked me out of 50 sales and I have PLENTY of proof.

20 were never credited to me. However I have compete details about all of them.

30 sales were mysteriously deemed to be "fraudulent" SIX WEEKS later .. once it became clear I wasn't going to send more traffic to you.

RIP-OFF TECHNIQUE #1 -- NOT PAYING FOR SALES -- MASS SKIMMING

I have 20 sign-ups that were purchased from my members that never appeared in my activity report. The first two were reported to "support" and I was told that some other webmaster got paid for them.

Both of these guys wrote me to say that they had never been to LJ. One of the guys says he was at CAM4 but he clears his cookies and cache EVERY DAY.

I either have or can get signed, notarized affidavits from many of these people stating that they had not been to LJ or an affiliate in 30 days .. if ever.

ALSO: They will attest that they had not been in contact with me regarding the sign-ups. Most of them will attest that they are not personally known to me. All of them will state that there was no conspiracy or kick-back.

I have sent you two "test cases" that you tell me "is being looked into". What's there to "look into"?

You and your support department tell me that you cannot divulge the identity of referring webmaster. How convenient?

So, here's what it comes down to: Either TWENTY random people out of 100 are LIARS when they say that they had not been to LJ before ... or ... you are lying.

ANSWER ME THIS: If you refuse to divulge the name of the winning affiliate how can you ever prove that you're not systematically STEALING SALES from your affiliates?

Mickey: Let's see you make good on your own offer. Show me .. and all of GFY that you're are not a liar. Show us that you are not skimming sales at a wholesale rate.

RIPOFF TECHNIQUE #2 -- THE "FRAUDULENT" SALES

This is a totally separate matter from the 20 uncredited sales above

Three Weeks ago on Oct 27, you declared 31 of my sales to be "fraudulent" but wouldn't give me a an explanation for "security reasons". These were sales from the last two weeks in August ... almost TWO MONTHS EARLIER.

Two days ago you told me in a post on your forum that the sales didn't pass the "sniff test".

What a load of crap!!!!!!

You rob me of $7,000 in commissions and all you can tell me is that the sales don't pass the "sniff test" ... TWO MONTHS LATER.

The only thing that stinks is that answer.

MICKEY: EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO US. Let's see how it smells

As of this very moment my affiliate account is active. You can't claim it was an oversight because you and other AWE personnel knew my account was still valid as recently as an hour ago.

Why then was my affiliate account not closed?

If my 31 sales were "fraudulent" then surely I am a total piece of shit affiliate. Why would AWE .. or ANY company for that matter .. keep an affiliate on-board with a proven record of "fraud"?

PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS ... I'M SURE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE WONDERING THE SAME THING

QUESTION: Is your "sniff test" wise crack your final answer? Or can we discuss it privately as I have wanted to do all along?

NEUTRAL THIRD PARTIES SOUGHT

If you feel that you have an impeccable reputation on GFY and you would like to keep Mickey and me "honest", please contact me privately and nominate yourself as a Judge.

I agree. That's the really messed up part.

Mickey ignored my complaints when I contacted him privately.

He gave totally non-responsive or wise-crack answers when i posted publicly.

Make up your own minds

This part seems a little fishy. How do you factually know you've referred 20 paying customers w/o having a prior relationship with these members?

I'm not saying you don't have a reason to be concerned, but playing devil's advocate it does look like you might have had 20 friends sign up through your links, load the minimum onto their accounts, and then split the profits.

I don't know this guys setup but I used to promote iFriends in a way that I was in contact with a TON of my signups. That is why I was always so adamant that iFriends did not shave around here, I had absolute proof to the contrary. They even gave me a raise when they saw me defending them on a regular basis.

Thanks again Stacy and friends.

Edit: Also, even if he had 20 friends sign up they should still show up in his commissions. There is no way to automate a system to not pay a cut on friends.

I wondered about that part as well, but any way you look at it, it doesn't make sense that they would leave him as an affiliate if he is sending that many fraudulent joins.

Shelly,

You are 100% right to be a bit skeptical. There's a simple answer.

Since 1999 I have run a tight-knit regional escort community / directory / review site

The average active member has been with me for more than THREE YEARS.

We have parties and get-togethers. When someone is in trouble we have fund-raisers.

When I joined AWE, they were running their $222 PPS. I posted several threads on my forum and personally recommended joining LJ on my site.

I wanted to make a good impression because I was looking to have a dedicated section where my guys could cam with the girls. The plan was to make a lot of sales and show LJ I was serious.

I explained to my members that webcamming was lots of fun and they should try it for that reason. I also explained that it would benefit the ladies too if we made a good impression on LJ.

They were asked to write me after they joined so I could add them the the Webcam VIP list. This would get them something of a discount once we had our own cam section. The main reason I did this was to make sure I was getting all the sales I was entitled to. As it turns out, it was a very good idea.

I was really gung-ho to make LJ a big part of my site. I vouched for them to some of the skeptical guys (big mistake). I could have gotten MANY MANY MORE sales if LJ had just played by the rules.

There were about 20 girls that expressed interest in webcamming. I had barely scratched the surface. I was so looking forward to working that side of the equation, too.

The August pay period 2 was very good for me and I decided to wait to see what would happen with the pay check. By then I was pissed off about the uncredited sales.

Frankly, I probably would have stuck with AWE if the problem was only the uncredited 20 sales. It was when they disqualified the 31 "fraudulent" sales that I made up my mind to leave.

BTW: I was in touch with Douglas on a regular basis. He knew every step along the way that my site was different from other affiliates.

If only they hadn't gotten greedy

IMPORTANT NOTE:

I have every aspect of this documented in writing.

--- ICQ logs with AWE

--- Emails from my Members stating they had not been to LJ

--- Support tickets

--- Posts on AWE's board

--- Print-outs of my Affiliate account

--- Copies of Emails sent from AWE to my Members

--- Screen captures of my AWE promotional stuff

BTW: I decided to put together this documentation once it became apparent that I was getting ripped off on the un-credited sales.

Mickey has all the info for the first two TEST CASES.

The ball is in his court

NP CXA, just felt the need to play devil's advocate. As an affiliate and a sponsor I try to look at things from every angle and that was something that stuck out.

I've never promoted AWE, so I'm not familliar with their TOS, but looking at it from the outside as long as he was intending to work through AWE and with AWE to provide cams to his members it seems like a no harm no foul.

I don't think I'm exposing a trade secret when I say that some community sites will offer their members upgrades or free memberships to their community if they pay to join another community. An example would be "Sign up for 6 months of Swurve and get 6 months FREE to XYZ.com"

As a sponsor I don't have an issue with that type of advertising and have not been burned by it.

Awe declaring the sales declaring all those sales invalid 2 months after they occurred and saying they didn't pass the "sniff" test sounds really weird. After 2 months you generally know if the sales are legit or fraudulent at that point.

This sounds like a pretty unique situation.... an affiliate with sufficient connection to his referred members to be in a position to question the actions of a major sponsor.

In AWE's defence primarily, it is more than possible that a bad sale does not come to light until 2 months after the event, but it sounds as if this is AWE's "gut feel" rather than specific chargebacks.

Whilst it is not uncommon for the discovery of one fraudulent transaction to cast doubts on many others that share similar characteristics, it is certainly "abusable" as only the program owner is in possession of all information.

Would be nice, if AWE explained their suspicions a little better tham saying something didn't pass a "sniff test" but the end result here will almost certaily be that they won't pay, and another of the large camsites will pick up the future referrals.

AWE will suffer a little PR damage, but it won't affect anything and people will still promote them, because there are already enough reasons not to promote them, and everybody ignores them.

I obviously don't know the facts but CXA and his website appear legitimate to me, and the very least he deserves is one of Mikey's "I will look into this personally" responses and a little more respect.

Is this Neil from QClub who came to MY site trying to recruit my girls and COPIED my layout etc on your new site?? Our legal team had it removed but we did keep screenshots...your pathetic ass didn't even have the sense to remove MY MODELS images and our company's 2257 info etc.

I can't stand AWE or Mickey either, but I must admit, I find it hilarious to see YOU talking about being ripped off when you yourself are a rip off.

How sure are you that your members/surfers have never been to LJ? They do buy popunder ads to every tube site you can think of. While your surfers might not have gone to LJ directly, isn't it possible a cookie was placed from those popunders when your surfers went to a tube site?

I agree that it can sometimes take more than 2 months for a "bad" sale to come to light, but you aren't going to refer to it at that point as "not passing the sniff test". I can see where it might have been one guy with a stolen card running up a number of sales, I wonder if all 31 of those sales deemed fraudulent came from one member.

Your realize if you did this test across alot of the sponsors you'd find that a ton of sales wouldn't get counted right?

Thanks again Stacy and friends.

Yeap, Ifriends doesn't shave. Honest company. If the OP wants to drop AWE and come promote a company that will pay him more in sales anyway, without all of the problems then hit me up. I will help you get started with Clickcash.
