Vote out all incumbents. Voter imposed term limits for the win.

The Republicans voted for the big business contracts.. They have sold this country to the highest bidder..

This was a quick and easy way to stop the NSA spy program by defunding it, but the Right just blocked it.

They have voted aginst Obama on every bill since he's been in office, yet they vote with him on this even when the majority of Dems voting aginst Obama with this.

A quick and easy way would be to change the laws allowing for them to do it and might have actually passed. Asking these fools in Washington to defund anything is the hardest route.

The boiling frog is long dead. Americans are not going to be able to vote themselves back into freedom.

This comes as no big surprise. Our government doesn't want to shut down or even limit the NSA.

This was a pretty close vote.. It's clear many in the govt are not happy with what is going on.

It does however leave little doubt that Republicans truly do hate America. This was one of the best chances to end the ability for the NSA to do warrantless wire taps.

Yet Republicans voted to alow it to continue by a large majority, meanwhile the majority of Democrats voted aginst the president and for the people in attempt to stop it.

That in itself is pretty daming for the right and even Obama.

Ive said it before and I will say it again....the problem isnt republicans or Democrats the problem is Republicans AND Demorats. It took them both to get us in this sorry situation and it would take them both to get us out of it and that is something Neither of them wants to do, they have conspired and colluded to give the government more and more power to the point that the only way we will get many of our freedoms back is to put a gun to their heads and TAKE it back.

It'll happen...prolly not in my lifetime but it will.

The political parties are just a product of their lobbyists. I can't really stand either party but still fun to get a rise out of some of the predictable.. 8)

The simple fact is the politicians are just the middle men. Big money runs the country. Nothing changes until major players are out of the game.

Even former President jimmy carter has recently come out and said the US no longer has a functional democracy. Yet you won't see that on the news..

Oh yeah, I forgot you don't watch Fox news

I watch MSNBC every morning for the Today Show, I like the program.

I like watching Oreilly in the afternoon, if you were to read one of the books that schools are starting to require for reading, you would understand why I like watching him.
And if you missed what he said early this week about the race wars in this country, it was awesome

think about that

This is why I became a libertarian many years ago..... BOTH of those parties simply care about growing their own power. Those that think it's only the Republicans doing this are absolutely deluding themselves.

The majority of members of both parties are the same. Keep the power at all costs. They target different groups to achieve the same goal.

That said, it seems it was Nancy Pelosi that helped to defeat the amendment, which is what the White House was scrambling to achieve.

Quote:
But Hill sources say most of the credit for the amendment's defeat goes to someone else: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. It's an odd turn, considering that Pelosi has been, on many occasions, a vocal surveillance critic.

Ahead of the razor-thin 205-217 vote, which would have severely limited the NSA's ability to collect data on Americans' telephone records if passed, Pelosi privately and aggressively lobbied wayward Democrats to torpedo the amendment, a Democratic committee aid with knowledge of the deliberations tells The Cable.

"Pelosi had meetings and made a plea to vote against the amendment and that had a much bigger effect on swing Democratic votes against the amendment than anything Alexander had to say," said the source, keeping in mind concerted White House efforts to influence Congress by Alexander and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. "Had Pelosi not been as forceful as she had been, it's unlikely there would've been more Democrats for the amendment."
