"Safe in the mountains" is silly when talking about the end of the world, but the people that have absolutely no preparations for an emergency are just hopeless sheep IMHO. I've been through a couple of hurricanes and seen people, that had actual definite WARNING, not bother to put together a few gallons of water, and some food with a shelf-life. After 3 days of warnings prior to the storm, they are out there as soon as the wind stops blowing, desperate for the local government to bring them water and ice.

Something as simple as a large solar flare could take out all of the electronic devices on the planet. There was one in the 1860s, and luckily all that was taken out were telegraph systems. Can you imagine one today? Meanwhile most people will die of thirst and riots so fast it will make your head spin. I can't imagine an adult not having at least 2 weeks worth of food and water, and a way to heat up the food, at the very very least. (And a lot more stuff then that, but that should be a lowest limit). It's amazing the percentage of people that don't even have that tiny amount of preparedness.

Mentioning crap the size of your thumbnail could infect 300 gallons of drinking water and making a 50lb bag of rice deadly for children or the elderly. It's these types of concerning posts Ive been seeing a lot lately. A far cry from the usual, I can fix a compound fracture with an AK magazine, ranch dressing, and verses from the bible crap.

These people don't believe in apocalyptic anything. The financial, real estate, our debt, with the apocalyptic fervor spurred a lot of concerning questions that couldn't be answered by other levelheaded professionals. These people don't argue the type of guns or tools needed like old, instead real soccer-moms or white collar professionals brag about getting carry permits, shortwave radio licenses, or email alerts on bulk food bargains etc.

For me in an odd way it's kind of cool to watch people from different communities around the world help well, other strangers. They've even starting outing companies selling crap products as people in the medical field help with free health advice. Most don't care about your ethnicity or income level as the collective common goal is for all in society to understand you won't be alone and move forward whatever the adverse condition. That's it.

It is really simple. Not 1 is correct because there is no such thing as the world ending. It's a made up story in western society. So not one site can know the exact time because there isn't any.
