Thank you to Kink (Peter Acworth), X-Biz (Alec Helmy), GameLink (Jeff "Dillonaire" Dillon), and Synova Interactive Group, for hosting an Adult Industry gathering last night in San Francisco.

The evening began at the new Armory Club, which is located kitty-corner to the Castle (the humongous main Armory building). The place was packed with industry pros from all areas of the industry, all busy networking and socializing, boozing and schmoozing...

I personally made several good contacts with people whom I had only known online, and even learned about some new companies (Synova Interactive Group for Mobile apps, etc).

After the happy hour or two, the party moved across the street for free drinks and food at the Kink castle, and excellent Tours were provided of the Armory facility. (Anyone interested in organizing or taking a tour of Kink, may now do so HERE:

Anyway, thanks again to the aforementioned fine people and organizations that sponsored the event, and thank you to all whom attended...

I wasn't at the FSC Summit, so I dunno...although not ostensibly a business event (more of a social mixer), I can personally attest to the fact that old business relationships were solidified, and new ones developed.

Personally, I probably would have attended the FSC meeting if I was in LA - I try to not view everything in only black and white...

The pix in this thread were shot by a photographer friend that shoots occasionally for me. I had to use flash to shoot with my camera, so I didn't want to use it much and bother people (my buddy Dave was shooting without flash at 2500 ASA).

Great turnout considering all of the entertainment options in San Francisco on Friday night, and more importantly, it was definitely a good quality gathering.

We need to do more such gatherings in the Bay Area.

Actually, the pix from the Kink event in this thread were shot by one of the photographers that shoots occasionally for me. I primarily focus on video shooting these days, and work with about a dozen freelance still photographers for most of the new photography. I found after doing practically everything myself for over 12 years (I'm a one-person company), that it is more efficient to have others help, and there is an added bonus that they are quite good at what they do.

Over 90% of the photos currently on Asian Diva Girls were shot by me. Most of the newer content was not (although I still do stills as well a few times a month). Nonetheless, I am involved in every single project as a Producer/Director as well - most of my photographers are mainstream photographers, and I am their only adult client, so I end up teaching them lots of tricks to shooting porn, plus I like to leave my imprint on every project anyway.

I may not be the best at what I do, but I have a passion for what I do, that I hope is at least a part of the reason that people enjoy some of the work which I produce.

A lot of early porn was actually filmed in San Francisco by the Mitchell Brothers and other porn pioneers, and to this day, there remain several large LGBT producers here.
