Romney will increase millitary spending.

Like you don't already spend enough.

Clueless...Romney cannot increase any spending...even if he were to become the President as Congress controls the purse strings.

I never knew that, just heard him saying he will. So maybe it was him talking to clueless Americans that gave me the idea.

http://money.cnn.com/2012/09/14/news...ney/index.html

http://www.livingstondaily.com/artic...ON01/209210304

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_a..._program_.html

So it seems he's going to cut spending and increase it.

Yes Private, I'm clueless. What does that make the US citizens?

Maybe he should cut benefits for the veterans who have gone senile. LOL

If military is cut then the money should be diverted to industries of the future that will have a far larger export market than those the West decide to sell to.

Just cutting will cause job losses and waiting for private enterprise to pick up the slack, is the line conmen use to convince the clueless, step up Private King.

Putting some of the $663.84 billion into industries that produce something every country in the world and every one in the world can buy, brings far more jobs and wealth. See Germany and Japan as the examples, yes it's tough now. Less tough on some though.

he says the opposite of what makes sense. He wants to spend more on Naval warships, tanks, planes and conventional troops -- when what America really needs has been what Obama has been using: Special Forces and drones. You don't hear about it much, but the president's drone program has been a huge success, and pretty much decimated Al Quada's leadership. Also, we all know about who got Bin Laden, and it sure as hell wasn't a regiment of Marines or Army grunts.

There's nothing wrong with being ready for a ground war with a large enemy army, but our enemy is different these days. Our military needs to be a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.

Romney's comments about strengthening the military stem directly from a need to have the military industrial complex humming so rich people can get richer. There's not a single concern about what is actually needed to keep us safe in the age of Islamic terrorism.

Who is the enemy? Pick from, guys in huts, caves. N. Korea is a possible, Russians who want to sell you what they have. Chinese who have to sell you what they have. EU, S. Americans.

He lives in the past, like so many in the World. If WW3 comes, it will be missiles from ships, subs and land based, guided bombs from planes. Which the US has enough of to take out anyone except those who want Americans to buy their goods.

Spend some of the $663.84 on creating a better, more fuel efficient engine the World will buy and create jobs in the US. Or Solar Panels, computer chips, better hard drives, faster what ever it is that runs my computer,

Invent more things like Teflon, Velcro or something else we all use every day of our lives and repay the debt.

Seriously?

Where do you think the technology for more fuel efficient engine, soloar panels, computer chips, hard drives, and computers came from? The technology that is creating a quieter submarine today will benefit your car ten years from now, and the new engines on the new military jets will make jet airliners more fuel efficient in the future.

Where the fuck do you think the Internet came from?

Criminals - Come to the US, Paul...it won't be bankers that will cut you up and sell your kidneys. I would be happy to drop you off in a few places in Chicago so you can get an understanding of what element I am referring too.

Poor people - Farmers in the US aren't poor.. Not even close. It's that group that for whatever reason has decided it's easier to get a free handout rather than earn their own.

Minorities - They make up 30% of the population, yet over 90% will vote democrat.

Side note... a lot of foreigners are driving US technology now, thanks to the O-1, EB-1 and H-1B visa. The "genius visas" they call them. The US is lacking in the intelligent people department so they are giving visas to people with "extraordinary ability" to come to the US to work.

You can argue this nothing new - Our entire space program was built mostly from German technology and German scientists. The truth is the US has always attracted the bright and ambitious.

OK sarcasm isn't your strong point.

I agree with you about some areas in the US having a terrible crime problem, most of it brought on by poverty and a sense of being cast off by the rest of America. Do you think these people should be got back into the system by having more employment opportunities and better education or less than they are presently given?

Quote:

Farmers are not poor ad they shouldn't be.

The database tracks $240 billion in farm subsidies from commodity, crop insurance, and disaster programs and $37 billion in conservation payments paid between 1995 and 2011.

Is this one of the handouts you think should be cut, as it's not going to the poor?

Minorities - They make up 30% of the population, yet over 90% will vote democrat.

What's a minority in the US?

People who can trace their US lineage back to the 1700-1800s of people whose forefathers came over on a boat during the 1990S

Or just poor people?

As I picked on crime in Chicago... This is just one of the many help wanted sites for the city. You see the same thing in every city in the US
There are jobs for people who actually want to work.

http://www.helpwanted.com/chicago-il-jobs

The farm subsidy program is a complete waste of money for the taxpayers. It was designed when there were hundreds of thousands of small independant farmers. Just like every other ma-pa business those days are gone. The food business is controlled by business people these days.

do you expect Romney to cut these subsidies?

The 1% are a minority. Depending how you juggle the stats, a minority can be everyone. Just come out and say who you mean.

Just watched, Too Big To Fail. It illustrated the perfect fuck up private banks created and how the US Government saved the World from another Great Depression. Go read how it came about in the 30s and see history nearly repeat itself. Basically it was Private Enterprise gambling and blowing up a huge bubble, over pricing assets. The Government stepped back thinking it would fix itself. And the World went into The Great Depression.

IMO too many vote on habit. They don't look at the man or party and judge whether they are the best to lead their country.

Too many look only at the promises and "What's in it for me." Without thinking of the wider issues. Very often what they believe is obviously never going to happen. If told the truth, they would reject it out of hand. They prefer to believe the bullshit.

Yes there are jobs available in the US and EU. so why are there so many unemployed? It's easier to believe the unemployed are all layabouts and want to live on handouts. Than the truth that most of the jobs available are not suitable for so many of the unemployed. Some will post links to places that have a minority of jobs for the unqualified. As proof there are jobs to be had.

Accounting, Finance | Advertising, Public Relations | Aerospace, Aviation | Arts, Entertainment, Publishing | Automotive | Banking, Mortgage | Business Development | Business Opportunity | Clerical, Administrative | Construction, Facilities | Consumer Goods | Customer Service | Education, Training | Energy, Utilities | Engineering | Government | Green | Healthcare | Hospitality, Travel | Human Resources | Installation, Maintenance | Insurance | Internet | Law Enforcement, Security | Legal | Management, Executive | Manufacturing, Operations | Marketing | Military | Non-Profit, Volunteer | Pharmaceutical, Biotech | Professional Services | QA, Quality Control | Real Estate | Restaurant, Food Services | Retail | Sales | Science, Research | Skilled Labor | Technology | Telecommunications | Transportation, Logistics |

Go to the link and see what the jobs are in those industries. Anyone who runs a company would know the situation.

The unemployed are mostly victims. Too few jobs they can fill, too little/poor education and prejudice has left people detached from from the main stream. They are not to blame for the problems we are in. That's the fault 100% of the educated, qualified and rich. The unemployed aren't in a position to have any effect.

Once a man rose to power on false promises, telling people who was to blame for their lot and telling them to hate. Do we see history repeating itself?

The real question is why did Republicans pick two no hopers in a row.

McCain/Palin. McCain came across as an honest man, yet old and a cancer survivor. They then picked a complete no hoper in Palin. To say she wasn't fit to lead the country is an understatement. Yet millions voted for them. She was an old man's heart beat away from being the most powerful person on Earth. That alone should of scared the shit out of all voters.

Romney. A businessman who inherited wealth and got wealthier on handouts, laying people off and outsourcing. Also has weird religious beliefs that should disqualify him in most peoples minds. Yet he won the right to challenge Obama by American Republicans voting for him and will pick up millions of votes only on the fact that some will vote Republican no matter what.

That above all is why the American electoral system needs over hauling.

JHC. voting for someone on the criteria you suggest is crazy. America can get out of the problems it's in. Needs a real leader and people behind him who are not only interested in what they personally can get out of it.

See that pudgy thing on top the bigger pudgy thing flying over LA? I built that. Yes that. I built THAT shuttle. I vote democrat and I love the USA. I know all about defense budgets and what not.

I VOTE democrat.
Only fucking idiots will vote rethuglican.
We have a duty to take care of everyone in this country. If we have the power or means it should be extended further.

YOUR ass will get old someday. Then you will think differently. Ive paid into the system for decades. Its not a fucking entitlement, its my tax dollars.

Dont go on and on about your "oh poor me paying taxes" or whatever it is your using as a scapegoat to fuck over your fellow man. BE responsible and I dont mean like the repukes use the word, I mean be responsible for the good of ALL people. Not just yourself. Rebukes cant see this. They never will. Its why they must be simply be...IDk..given free mental health exams? lol.

I used to be a republican. The party you see today is not the grand ole party. Its a drunk monster now taken over by American tealiabahn types, and really, short of ordering a bullet to all their heads for being American terrorists, nothing will save it from these teapot idiots.

American isn't 1957 anymore. deal with it. Its people like Romney that are the real criminals and should be treated as such.
Don't even get me started on mormons and magic underwear. Those people are truly evil, spend some real time in salt lake city to see what I mean.

Oh shit I just hit a hawk. (if you have been there you know what that joke means)

I didn't read half the bs. in this thread but wanted to make a comment about military spending. When I was growing up, no matter who you were, If you finished high school "or had your GED" you always had an option of a respectable career in the military.

Cutting the military is cutting jobs!

Oh and Paul, that picture of the vet saying fuck you Romney for not paying taxes. 1 this isn't your fight. please mind your business, I know that may be hard for you, But at least try and stick to the facts. Romney wasn't talking about the elderly and didn't talk down to them, he was just making a statement of who to target for votes....

Edit: Also If Romney is elected I'll be opening at least two new small businesses. If Obama is re-elected I will not even consider it.

Cutting any spending is going to result in cutting jobs.

The person who is in charge of the US is everyone's concern. If it were about the leader of Nauru no one would give a fuck. British troops are currently serving in Afghanistan. My Brother and his family live in America, children are Americans. That makes it my concern. So respectfully.

Also will he be cutting or changing the health care system for those not with private health care?

Then the business must be on the knife edge of making it. Because a new President will have little effect.

My mistake, I guess you do have a reason to be concerned.

Cutting Welfare will not result in a loss of jobs, Over taxing businesses will result in a loss of jobs

Obviously you have not owned a business in the USA. They tax you so hard that there isn't much point to try... I watched a friends business go from 4 million to 2 million during Obama's presidency even though he is working twice as hard as before. and the future under Obama seems he will be forced into shutting down.

Please don't get me started on Obama care, Just read previous posts I've made about it. Obama Care is a Wolf in sheep's clothing, It does not help this country or the people in it.
