WTFBucks... You're getting annoying.

I don't speak up very often, or really at all on the boards..

But as someone who has experience doing marketing, you guys really need to get your shit together. I'm getting e-mails from you claiming you found my e-mail on a site I SOLD 2 years ago that definitely doesn't have my information on it... and it never had THAT e-mail on it.

Helen, you suck at your job, but have fun getting a bunch of noobs with 10 visits/day promoting your product and ZERO people with knowledge of the industry doing anything other than bashing you on the boards.

You're a disgrace. Back to working and lurking I go.

They must be buying affiliate databases from programs like Lords Of Porn.

Even if they fire Helen (what they should do), I still won't trust them. Once a spammer, always a spammer. They said they only email their existing affiliates, when everybody here knows that is not true. If they are willing to lie about their emails, I see no reason to trust them with traffic or money.

They won't even acknowledge the spam publicly, looks like a shady fucking program to me.

Indeed. It's nice of WTFBucks.com to announce that they are low-life spamming spammers who either steal or buy private information from other affiliate programs.

It's also nice to know which scumbag programs either have lax security or sell the personal information of their (old/non performing) affiliates to shitty low-life spamming spammers like WTFBucks.com.

Guys like this piss me off. I do actually go out search sites for sites that fit our program.
But the site owners are so pissed with the tactics some company's use like the OP just
pointed out i know they just delete my emails.

I got a "GREAT" one from "Helen" back on the 13th, I did save it and ALMOST printed it out to hang on my office wall...

Quote:
Hello,

I?m Helen from WTFbucks.com. We run WTFpass.com and other adult sites.
I like the user-generated content traffic you guys have on www.lokiporn.com.

We can convert that traffic really well if you?d like to make some extra money out of it.
now 2 things to keep in mind lol

1) Loki Porn has been my B2B CONTENT STORE for many years.
2) It has a notice on it that "The content store is closing"

Great to know these people know the diff between "user generated content" and a fucking content store, where do I sign up??

Maybe somebody can write a script that signs up bogus affiliates to their program all day and all night. Maybe even using real emails from adult websites to confuse them.

They never did offer a good explanation about what they did. It wasn't just the annoying spam (if they spam webmasters, what do you think they do to their customers?) It was how they got the information.

They don't have to do anything, they can just watch other people become even more annoying than they were. They spammed me on at least two different addresses, and I fucking hate spammers, and you know what, I don't mind them any more, because what Baddog said is absolutely right: the constant, repetitive fuckwitted bumping of all these multiple WTF threads is now way more annoying than what they did.

So don't be a customer then. How does bumping all these old threads help? They didn't answer the first 8593479534 times they were asked, so what makes you or anyone else think they are going to answer if the threads are bumped for another hundred years?

It's quite obvious they didn't merely buy the list, because if it was for sale they're unlikely to have been the only buyer and there'd be spam from elsewhere. Who cares anyway? What difference does it make how they got the addresses? They've stopped spamming.

If they post new threads, by all means call them names, or make further futile requests for an answer, but for the love of Allah, stop bumping all these old threads.

It's not just about spam, wouldn't you be a little ticked off if a company potentially got ahold of all of your information including your SSN or Tax ID without your permission? It's not like just your e-mail is stored in NATs. If you're annoyed by these threads then please just ignore them, but it helps potential affiliates make up their own mind about whether they want to promote a program that has made not just one unethical decision, but several.

Dude, I was the very person who came up with that point:

I was also possibly the first person to directly ask them whether they stole the emails, while everyone else was just pointlessly whining 'stop spamming':

It was quite obvious early on they weren't going to answer (admit to) that.

If you're annoyed by these threads then please just ignore them, but it helps potential affiliates make up their own mind about whether they want to promote a program that has made not just one unethical decision, but several.
It's quite hard to ignore them when they're continually cluttering up the front page. This isn't really directed to people like you, but to fuckwits like ShitBox who bump all of the old WTF threads at once, with nothing new worth reading. I was spammed more than once, at different addresses. Was he? Doesn't look like it from his first reply to this thread.

If WTF Bucks post, or start new threads, then sure follow-up and mention the spamming/hacking, if the aim really is to alert people to what they're like. But bumping these old threads over and over with nothing new to say just creates noise and pisses people off.

I apologize , I didn't mean to come off as a dick and didn't realize that you were directing it at Shoebox.

No need to apologize, and you didn't come across as a dick; I may have done myself since I was replying to your post but pissed off at other people. I replied to your post, and Freaky_Akula's, mainly because you were making points that could be replied to, rather than just some mindless bump of 6-10 threads at once. I don't even think ShoeBox was spammed, which makes his pantomime vendetta even more tiresome.
