Epoch's throughput is better
Epoch's rebills are better
CCBill has a system that affiliates (at least in the UK) trust.
So cascading is the answer.
Pretty much as DamianJ wrote ...
If only choosing 1 and having an affiliate program go with CCBill and can cascade to Epoch.. If using NATS or something similar Epoch primary (or something else).
I was going to post this same question. From reading through past threads here it looks like there are fans and haters of each company. I wonder if its just a Coke vs Pepsi or McDonalds vs Burger King question where the answer is simply a personal preference?
As far as getting both and using cascading, does that really make sense because you'd have to pay the Visa upfront fee to both companies, correct? It seems like for someone starting out they should just choose CCBill or Epoch and maybe add the other once their site takes off.
Zombaio and Verotel are also mentioned but with mixed opinions so I think someone starting out should stick with the two big players for the most trouble free experience. But which one...?
There's nothing actually wrong with Epoch's affiliate system, they send the cheques out every week just like CCBill do, and you can actually see referring urls for everything.
I have used both and prefer Epoch over CCBill. Epoch has more approval transations, therfore less declines than Ccbill. Epoch has better service.
its good to have a cascade because if one processor declines the first transaction, it can cascade to the secondary billing company and if the sale/transaction goes through the second billing company, than you dont lose that sale.
The best biller is the one who works best for you. They pay attention to your needs, answer all of your questions, and work with you to build your business.
