To bad Charlie Chaplin was left wing, progressive, liberal with egalitarian political views. No wonder he had to flee to America with those pro-communist ideals in tow, makes sense why you like him BFT3K.

Yes, it's a good thing the unions have never been greedy.

It's a good thing that good communists like Mao always treated their people well.

It's a good thing that Stalin never imprisoned anyone.

It's a good thing that Obama never lied.

Caracas, Venezuela is a great place to vacation.

St. Louis, MO is a great place to live.

Fucking liar. Good to know McCarthyism is still alive and well.

As Chaplin pointed out in his autobiography: "My prodigious sin was, and still is, being a non-conformist. Although I am not a Communist I refused to fall in line by hating them."

Yeah sure, just like Woody Guthrie right? You probably grew up singing This Land is Your Land in elementary school and didn't even know it was written by one of them damn commies. They just left out the first verse in school:

As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.

This land is your land, this land is my land
From California to the New York island
From the Redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and me.?

Sounds like some commie pinko bullshit to me. This land is MY land damn it, not yours. Get your own god damn land. Fuckin' dirty welfare leechers, immigrants, old people, I swear to god I single-handedly pay for all of them.

Actually that was the fourth verse in a variation of the song, folk singers often added and changed verses to reflect more current political views

The idea of private property rights is one of the most important ideas in socio-political evolution, without private property rights few , if any, of the other rights could even exist.

While I can equally admire the uncorrupt ideology of communism as well as that of pure Democracy both are a utopia and as such would never work, thus you get the corruption of both the old soviet form of Communism and the Current day American idea of Democracy (Which is, in reality, a Constitutional Republic)

The problem with the Soviet system was that there was no incentive to produce and our current system is seeing a similar problem in that the non producers have learned that they can vote themselves a living from those who do produce, taking away the incentive for the producers to take the risks.

Government red tape and oversight has caused prices to soar pushing things like health care out of the reach of the average person because the people capable of assuming the risk want a better return for doing so. The result being that both government and big business have become completely corrupt.

Does it surprise you to learn that the government almost certainly profits more from the sale of a gallon of gas than any oil company does? Between federal, state and local taxes, income taxes, and governmental fees over 1/3 of the money you pay for a gallon of gas goes to the government. Who gives the oil companies breaks to help hold the cost down so that the government can maintain its profits.

I defy you to name just one thing you do that the government doesn't have it's fingers in either directly or indirectly....Go ahead give it a shot....

I don't support communism any more than I support laissez-faire capitalism, I was just using that to illustrate a point. What we should be doing, in my opinion, is implementing the aspects of political philosophies that are most practical right now, whether they're socialist, capitalist, communist or a combination of all three makes no difference to me.

I don't really follow what you mean when you say non-producers, do you mean the workers that actually turn the wheels of the economy and make the fortunes for so many who quite possibly continue to pay rather less taxes than they really ought to?

You say government oversight is causing prices to soar but you don't mention that lack of government oversight is partially what led us into the recession we're experiencing right now.

I didn't hear him say the Communist weren't effected by the same problems. Must of missed that part. What I heard was a man complaining about the faults of Men. Which didn't stop him living in a mansion in Hollywood or Switzerland.

The problem is with the nature of men. Be it Communist, Capitalist, Christian or any organisation or system. Some by their make up want to be top dog to make their life better. And don't care who they step on to get there.
