Dude, go to nearest Rite Aid and get a CC. It's like a debit card but good for certain stuff. They have MC and VISA. You can't buy porn on the web but I'm sure you can open an account with it and it'll be in good standing as long as you put money on it. It sucks but is a temp solution

Didn?t even want to waste my breath or bump this thread anymore
then it already is, but just to let everyone know how this pathetic
shit stain got very close to fucking with me and my company, but
very successful he was.

Let me just give you a heads up on how he tried to sob about being
ripped by many companies and was very uncomfortable with giving
our company 50% up front for the design work both parties agreed
on.

So i let him slide with a 20% deposit on the work he requested. That
was a simple search engine redesign job that we gave him
the best deal to meet his budget.

Our policy is simple; we give you up to 3 mock ups with completely
new approaches and the customer is free to choose one of them with
full access to any detailed modifications to one of the mock ups.

For a hot minute i was under the impression both parties where
satisfied with this agreement and we went forward with the design,
one of our guys put together an amazing front end layout
and instead of giving us any comments/criticism or anything of
that sort, he simply said send me back my money?!

Now let?s see, my sales/marketing director Oleg/OKNY spent over 4
hours discussing the many solutions we can provide for him,
along with an unlimited amount of consulting and resource direction
for his new venture to get him going as a friendly addition.

My only question is this: WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU GO TO A
DESIGN COMPANY IF NOTHING IN THEIR PORTFOLIO CAUGHT
YOUR EYE?

For all future happenings & design service companies. Be strict
with your rules, and if you come across a shit stain like this, then
do as I did, tell him to get on all four and lean over a bit more.

We joined this message board today in defense to aligations made by user: bluecrawl. One of our clients had informed me of our company being bashed on this board, so here I am.

I'll make it short...

Here's the first site layout for bluecrawl:

The girl in the logo,which is located on both layouts, was hand drawn by my illustrator.

after getting bad remarks on both layouts we knew this was a human being that will never be satisfied, even if we gave him the world. we tried working with him on improving the existing layouts, but he was set to see a brand new layout everytime. For all we knew he was collecting all these graphical interfaces for 1 low price, something we found not amusing. Although his instructions ("blue, eye catching, simple to the point, tidy, easy navigation") where met on both interfaces we created, he still seemed unsatisfied we drop clients like this quick. Sure the deposit is kept, designers time is money. We don't work for free buddy Our contract even states "deposit non-refundable".

Perhaps a couple of the design firms should get together here and build a black list We haven't had any problems quite as severe as this though. Generally asking for 50% up front and then delivering as promised has worked out well.

Your more than 100% right.

Like i said, there is no reason for the customer to go and order
design work from your company if something in your portfolio
didnt get his/hers attention.

If you didnt like your first, second or even third approach then
you are totally liable for that deposit, and the offer to work
with any of the three mock ups always remains on the table.

When Blouecrawl came to me to do this design. He showed me your design and told me you ripped him off.

Said you did that design and afterwards he never heard from you and you wasted weeks of his time. He said you and your company ripped him off.

I love hearing the truth of the matter.

I'm totally with you on that one. I got a client 2 weeks ago asking me for a design and asking me if i would reimburse him if he didn't like it. I don't know why i said yes but i did... i make the splash page, "excellent" is what he said and tells me to go on with the tour page and join page... which i did... suddenly, after everything being done, i get a message from him saying his partners don't like it and blah blah blah he wants his money back! who the fuck do they think we are? no brain monkeys!?
