I didn't see you posted this as.
So far it's the only reason i can think of to have this policy.Comment

Makes two of us. If they do pay the account holder upon termination then it would be reasonable to assume that the file lockers would "bank" their money there until needed and then submit the proper documentation to get terminated and paid. Of course, this is all speculation. The account holder could indeed be verified. Not sure if there is a way to look in to thatComment

The right and proper thing to do is disable the account completely.Makes two of us. So long as the payment flow is working, then the site remains open to be signed up to by people accessing the infringing content.
Hopefully Paxum will remedy their currently ineffective method of dealing with accounts.Comment

Ruth from paxum is a dirty whore with double standards, like some people I know on this forum.
And WTF? Who the hell does paxum think they are by not answering to copy control satisfactorily? The nerve of that company to not terminate the account just because you say so.To all webmasters. Use a reputable IP Enforcement company such as Nate Glass's Take Down Piracy. They operate within the law, and don't work with hackers, nor have ties to CP as Robert King and his copy-control company do.Comment

I know right. Don't they know who he is? Who they're dealing with? I mean, he is the mother fuckin' king!Comment

Any approved file host needs to comply with Paypal's terms and conditions.
I think it's safe to assume that sites like RapidShare already do.
we are on the same side of the fence here no need to nitpick
Sorry I didn't mean to be obtuse.Last edited by AdultKing; 08-24-2012, 03:41 AM.Comment

You mean a guy who says "We're not going to take down any other piracy site other than File Lockers, because that is what we focus on" but goes ahead and has processing terminated for websites which are NOT file lockers?Comment
-
It depends on who you ask. Some say I'm upset that he isn't doing more to stop piracy while others think I am upset because I'm one of File Lockers who lost their paypal account.Originally posted by MrBottomToothWhat's your issue exactly? He's doing a great job, but you're angry because he is not taking out all the pirates at once? I don't get it.
You decide!

That was fast.
I'd reckon right now most of these sites are getting multiple paypal accounts in order for that dreadful day when you get to them.
He is either a pissed off upload monkey, or he is trying to sidetrack him. Every minute AK has to explain to him again what he has already explained several times before, is a minute he can not focus on the task. Because he is just grasping for reasons to argue at this point and he keeps coming back.Originally posted by MrBottomToothWhat's your issue exactly? When GFY trolls post at Wjunction and pick silly fights in the filelocker support threads, they only last a few posts and then are banned.
When filelocker owners try to disrupt anti-piracy threads at GFY with nonsense, they have free reign.
I know the admin/moderators are few and disinterested here, but can't they deputize some new ones who actually use this board?Comment

We're asking you.
Show us what you do in online porn and set all our minds to rest.
And no stories about we wouldn't believe you anyway, convince us.Comment

Lol, Why would I have to explain myself to anyone on this forum, most of all, you. You're nothing more than has-been that never was. Honestly, I couldn't give a flying fuck what YOU nor anyone else thinks of me.
Show me some of those magic join pages

You should have someone write a script which will scan the premium page to see what the processor of the week is and the account linked to it. It'd save you guys a lot of time having to go through all the sites you've already looked at over and over.Comment

The assholes of Paypal
When preypal decided to not process for adult sites, they just changed their TOS, put up a small notice on their login page and froze any account with the slightest mention of adult content.
And of course they sat on money for 6 months.
Now even though they have stated publicly that they dont want do process for filehosting sites, they are still happily processing for dozens and dozens of sites. And these sites are clearly hosting content that is in violation of copyright law.
Is there any further action we are likely to see on this front or this is about it?Comment
-
Maybe they came to a mutually agreeable situation with paypal and paypal is comfortable with it? I thought you just reported the facts as they were and if paypal or any other processor decided to terminate them (or not) it was their call?Comment
-
why don't you do something yourself instead of bitching about a guy who is doing something?Arguing whether the Democratic or Republican party is better is like debating which steaming pile of shit is slightly less stinky.Comment

Paypal have been consistent in saying that File Lockers need to become an approved merchant before they can accept Paypal.
File Lockers must go through an approval process before they may transact with Paypal.
I have no idea, Paypal do not provide us with any information about their customers so we have no way of knowing. We do know that on WJunction there was commotion about Netload not having Paypal.Comment

But you do. Or your comments will be dismissed as a butt hurt pirate. which may or may not be true.

It would be great if Adultking would go after companies who screw over paying surfers instead of going after filelockers which hardly do any damage to the industry.
If i was him i would spend my time and money helping potential paying surfers to make sure they won't get fucked over instead of removing one of the payment options for obscure filelockers that nobody (besides a few freeloaders) has ever heard about.
But that's just me.Comment

It would also be great if we could do something about the larger paying hosts, like rapidgator.
Still seems there's no interest in them at all, they must be doing something right since they're the only ones being ignored.
Also, it seems like they're all moving to 'payza' now but they will terminate accounts with good enough reason as far as i know.Experienced Programmer - ICQ: 601958502
