I did a bunch of searches on gfy when I first started looking into content management software. My partner found the a-conman guy friendly and the guy said the software could do exactly what we wanted. The seller, Q, also said that he created aconman and Content God ripped him off down to spelling mistakes he made in the code. We figured that if a-conman was the original and we would be able to contact the original programmer for any additions we might want to commission, then we would go with that guy.
Well, Q promised to do the install by a specific date which was important for the RubberDollies.com launch for Spooky Cash. He missed the date, missed the later date agreed to, missed the too late date he promised, and in fact never got the software completely installed.
Q later admitted, after wasting tons of time for people on our end, that the software would not do what he described anyway. He later confessed that he was not actually even the programmer as he had represented.
He promised to refund payment Aug 22. Then claimed he had some bank issue and I would have to wait until the following Monday. Then he claimed he could not refund via Pay Pal, but he would give me a refund. He kept up his refund promises until the PayPal cutoff for fraud complaints. Now when I contact him to remind him to refund my money, he makes up excuses and is abusive.
The software is called "a conman" Q must think this is a great joke and I feel now like I should have known better.
If enough people file complaints with paypal about his rip-off software, then paypal will give everyone who bought his software a refund if they want it, no matter when it was purchased. If you are one of the many who have had problems with this conman and bought through paypal, please file a complaint at https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...&flow=md_buyer
I've never brought anything like this to the boards before and I know it is not a lot of money, but it is more than I would drop in the street for no reason and I hate hate hate being scammed.
