I read the list and most of it I'd give him a pass. It's one thing to campaign and make promises and another thing to be brought into the loop and then realize that the situations involved make it very difficult to follow through on.

What I don't give him a pass on is the fact that he says he never knows what's going on, promises to get to the bottom of the problem and fix it. He never does anything. He moves on to the next problem with the same line of BS.

Every President, every politician, and every human being tells lies and engages in acts of hypocrisy. But Barack Obama does these things to a far greater degree than anyone else that I have ever known of. His campaign promises were so much better sounding than anyone else's – no lobbyists in his administration, waiting five days before signing all non-emergency bills so people would have time to read them, putting health care negotiations on C-SPAN, reading every bill line by line to make sure money isn't being wasted, prosecution of Wall St. criminals, ending raids against medical marijuana in states where it's legal, high levels of transparency. Obama's promises of these wonderful things sounded inspiring and sincere. They sounded so much better than the promises of any other President. This is the exact problem with the Republican party right now. We need healthcare. We need to fix the problem. Instead of fixing the problem or coming up with another solution, the Republican party keeps complaining. Like little children.

Personally, I am grateful that I can no longer be denied healthcare due to my pre-existing conditions. FWIW, I don't think the Affordable Healthcare Act went far enough - I am in favor of a Universal Healthcare system.

Obama isn't paying attention. And his staff and allies all seem to have their own agendas.
Maybe he has a few loyal people who are focused on his policies. But I don't see them being very effective (probably the incompetent ones)

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. 545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don ' t propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don ' t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don ' t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don ' t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don ' t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don ' t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator ' s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can ' t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it ' s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it ' s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it ' s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it ' s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!"

Obama didn't code the website. Obama didn't hire the guy that coded the website. Obama didn't install the servers. Obama didn't have a decision in how the website works.

At the Congressional hearing the other day, it was all Republicans bashing that woman (who might have deserved it). But not once has a Republican come forward and say "I want to help fix it" or "I have a solution" or "I have a better idea". They don't want to fix the problem; They want it to fail. They can't take it down legally, even by going so far as to take it to the Supreme Court or by shutting down the government, but they'll spend the next two years throwing up every hurdle.

That's one hell of a way to do business.

545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don ' t propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don ' t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don ' t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don ' t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don ' t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don ' t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator ' s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can ' t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it ' s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it ' s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it ' s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it ' s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

I'm in the UK, so can only talk about the US politicians as a whole, using our gov't's acts/excuses/bullshit as a measure of what all politicians are about. So while I can't talk with any knowledge at all on any of the things in the OP's link, what I can talk about is the fact that who gives a fuck what xyz did before abc came into office. who gives a fuck if obama didn't get hands on with the server set-up. These people have more power than any of us could ever comprehend, yet fuck up daily, weekly, monthly, yearly - time after time after time.

They give zero fucks about anything other than staying in office, else shit would actually get done. Excuses, passing the buck, outright lies - that's what politicians in office do, no matter how pure and genuine their intentions at the start of their careers may have been.

If something you personally did, or could personally change, affected someone you had direct daily contact with, you know full well you'd do everything you could to make a wrong thing right - these people are detached, unaccountable in any real sense of the word, and sleep fucking easy at night.

Every last one of them is a two-faced lying sack of shit who sold out their own ideals as soon as they got someplace they could actually implement, or influence them.

That famous speech about ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country (sorry for the misquote, I can't remember if that's a correct recollection) was the biggest con of all when it was directed outwards at citizens, instead of inwards to those in power. The worst thing is, millions upon millions fell for it, and have been suckered into believing that above all else, you need to be 'patriotic' and 'serve your country'. Give me 1 good reason why anyone 'should' be either? Our moral duty, if any at all, is to help fellow man, and the biggest service you can give your fellow man is to say enough bullshit - do shit.

I can still remember way back, when President Obama was so careless that he allowed the largest terror attack ever, to occur on US soil. It gave President Obama just the excuse he needed, to roll out the previously written Patriot Act.

Then I remember President Obama deciding that we should conduct an illegal war with Iraq, killing and wounding HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Iraqis, based upon lies, and self-serving plans of war profiteering. Damn that crazy Obama!

I also remember Obama's crazy VP, who's company made over $39 BILLION dollars "rebuilding" Iraq, and then forcing fracking onto us, without any say by the American people.

Too bad we didn't get a good president, like maybe a really old man, who picked a psycho Tea Party nitwit to be his running mate, or maybe a great president, who inherited his fortune, believed in a nutjob religion complete with magic underwear, and swore to defend the rights of the top 1%.
