How did you get scammed? push before payment?

I've been contacted by these kind of people before saying they wanted a domain etc. told them to send me payment, then their info. And I got no reply

I didnt get scammed..I just know of the scam.....

1. Someone offers your domain subject to a independant valuation..then they list 3 well known registrars and thier own ( but you dont know it)...you will find thiers is the cheapest and they know many will go for thiers ...so they make money from the valuation and never intended to buy your domain.

2. They ask you to renew your domain....but the link is to a credit card stealing set up....so you enter your details ..all looks ok but really they have captured your c/c details....

A number of different scams show up in different variations...some are not so easy to spot at first glance.
