Same way you make money with any adult site. If you look closely I drive traffic to my site insanereleases with ads on. I make around $120 a month with the email signups.

The previous owner of this site ran a blog with the forum too using an old version of wordpress with a major security hole which resulted in the site being used for phishing. He didn't have much experience with software and couldn't fix it himself. Since I bought the site from the guy I fixed everything and the site is secure once more. The site was blacklisted with Google at one stage but I got them to evaluate it once more and it got unbanned. It should only be a matter of time until it gets removed from other spam lists. Ill have a look today to see if I can get it off the opendns blacklist.

The forum has also been advertising/soliciting its members to chip in for "server costs" via Paypal donations. Are those money what you call advertising income or is that on top of what you claim?

I also remember that there was an issue with the vb license. I don't remember it in detail, but feel free to clear that up. Does it come with a vb license now?

The former owner wanted $600 for it back in the summer and he was later banned from DP. What has happened or changed on te forum since that?

I've removed the Paypal donation feature he used. He also used popups which were highly irritating. The main thing is I got the phishing attacks sorted out and got the site off the Google blacklist. I've upgraded vbulletin to the latest version. I've done major SEO. Already seeing a rise of almost 70% in search engine traffic as of today compared to 1 Feb. I bought the site to optimize and sell it, that's what I enjoy. I still have a thread asking for support by visiting my advertiser to contribute to server costs as it works and its fair as Im not running any other ads. Members are forced to register in order to see the links. We have got active members, you can have a look at GA to check the bookmarker traffic.
