Its a great start there, and wouldn't take someone too much effort to get it up and running and selling products with a bit of time and work. Domain name is good, .us is eh, but if it was .com it would be much more than that for sure. Too many bashers on here anymore. Let the guy run his thread. Im kind of interested, but Id be more interested in just the drop shipper, but sure I could find that out with a bit of research. :2 cents:

It's not a bad start at all, and someone could easily make money of it. But that being said, the only real value there is the dropshipping connection, the rest isn't anything that one couldn't put together themselves for a lot cheaper.

The Buy it Now price is $600 now..

I'm currently working on tomatoes and lettuce and new zealand spinach (not real spinach, but thats the name of the plant).

Maybe try selling it on gardenweb dot com in the hydro forum, or other hydro forums all over.

Ebb and flow is amazing.

The cost of advertising the site would be very high.

Well, that's all a matter of how you choose to advertise. This shopping cart software allows you to set custom meta tags for each product, each category, image alt tags, rewrite URLs, titles, descriptions, etc. All of these things can be edited within the included excel feed. :thumbsup

To make a healthy living from the site, will never happen. I'm not trying to do any disservice, but I serve many clients in the cannabis industry. I myself have advertised in High Times. I know for a fact the site wont do anything healthy without spending some bucks to advertise.

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 03:06 PM

That all depends on what you're selling. But yes, advertising is expensive in High Times. It's not recommend of course because it would make you a target for openly supporting marijuana cultivation.

What I'm suggesting with my previous post is that it is high adaptable for organic (FREE search engine traffic). Plus with the discounted prices from the supplier you can be competitive with everyone. If it were me, I would even sell products through ebay as an additional point of sale. I'm closing on my house March 5th, so If someone here gives me $550, it's yours.

Pretty soon you'll be asking $50 for it judging by the price drops

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 03:44 PM

Not going any lower than $550. It's worth much more. I've invested more than twice that. Go find something else to do. You're wasting your time here.

It's safe to assume my clients where selling something targeted.

High Times is actually cheap for the results and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. It's a targeted magazine that works very well reaching customers. None of my clients have seen any back lash from advertising in the magazine.

I will be honest with you the only value the site has is the software driving it. The rest is worthless basically i could set it up in no time myself. On top of that and i made this question before is it a fully paid up license because i see demo at the bottom left hand screen?
My advice to you is work it until it transgresses into revenue instead of trying to make a few lousy worthless bucks.

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 06:41 PM

The software is open-source. It's not demo.

DollarKing 02-03-2010 06:50 PM

Traffic rank according to alexa over 3 mil! Hosted with Midphase never heard of them before. You have gotten so far with it continue not give up or change what you sell to something else otherwise you will never make a success of anything period.
If i made a offer basically it would be only for what the software is worth.

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 06:55 PM

Midphase is a shared host. That means the software can be hosted on a shared server (ie; $7/month). I work full time, there isn't time for me to run this site, or any other.

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 07:07 PM

The discount on products is 15% to 22% off the price listed on the web site.

DollarKing 02-03-2010 07:22 PM

I am up to my neck in stuff as it is i did try drop shipping quite a way back and dropped it!
"Dropped it" get the pun.
Being open source software i can easily go and download the software now for no cost so the only value you could place on your site is what work you have personally put into it and you are trying to sell it prematurely at this time.
This is the wrong place to sell it as well all things considered.

Rollin Studios 02-03-2010 07:36 PM

Why's everyone so stressed?

CyberHustler 02-04-2010 02:08 AM

My man, just give up that drop ship connect info...

WTF does that even mean?

I could go register kygdskqugsdk.com today and it would be just as adaptable as your site.
