total noob Q's about selling content

Hey all, basically just wondering what I ought to be doing with my videos once I've shot and edited them. How do I find companies who will buy the rights and where does one post video previews to direct them to? What is a fair price range for amateur material? Solo material? Fetish material? I know there will be few if any short and simple answers to these questions, so any directions to helpful articles would also be appreciated. All I want to do is shoot and edit the material, not manage a website or company anything.
Help this noob out for karmic brownie points!

Hrrm, I knew it! Well let's say I've just shot a scene, where do I look for people who will buy the rights? Should I just come on this message board and announce it, because I don't see many others doing that with much frequency.

          Exclusive?
          Semi?
          Non?
          Previously released or not?
          Niche or not?
          Pix and Video?

See what I am getting at?

Although really I'd like to know about any and all of the above, let's say non-exclusive, not previously released, just video, and niche , for starters, if that can help anyone help me...

              Hello fellow chicagoan!

This board is a good place to advertise your content. There are many ads in this "Sell and Buy" forum to give you ideas.

I personally recommend that you do a website to post samples of content for sale.

              Good Luck

Cool, thanks! Any particularly wonderful places I should be putting samples on?

You'd be best off registering your own domain via GoDaddy or another registrar and getting a hosting account (adult friendly obviously) .. then having a designer slap something together to best showcase what you have to offer. No idea on the rest lol but hope that helps.

First ask your self this question, could I teach photography at the college level?

Did I go to college for Photography or Design?

Have I ever sold my photos commercially before?

Do I have a contract lawyer on retainer?

If the answer is no to anyone of these, you have a long way to go as your competition is years beyond you.

well, I don't do photography, I do videography, change every 'photo' to 'video' and i only have a "no" to the lawyer question. So now to get me one of those...
