What is the best way to copy Mini-Dv to Mini-Dv

plus one camera into the other with a firewire cable and copy away.

yeah i know that ... but does a "one device" even exist ?

Sadly, you will need 2 decks if you want to dub a mini dv tape. If you only have one device, I would suggest just capturing the DV footage to whatever your editting program is then writing back to tape over and over again... I know its a pain in the ass, we have a post production and editting company in the same office and they still have to do it this way.
