U should probably just chalk this one up to a loss my friend. Also a bit of advice, and this has been discussed many times in similar threads, publicly posting personal information on anyone or any company without written consent is against the law and has and could quite possibly lead to a lawsuit. Just a bit of a heads up. Good luck with the reward though.

All info was publically avaliable if you know where to look.

When a person registers a domain they enter in the a legal binding contract that gives that registrar legal rights to post that information publically as it states in any registers TOS. It becomes available thru WHOIS thru these policies unless the person is smart enough to protect the information. This gives these said companies legal right to post the info but it does not give it to you. With a simple copy and paste of this info to another public domain, yes this does in fact break the law and put you at risk. These companies that have allready posted this information have "click here to agree to terms" contracts on file to post this information, you do not. Simple as that. Not trying to give you shit over it, just letting you know what you dont understand so that you dont continue to do it and be in a world of shit over it. As it stands right now this user allready has legal right to press lawsuit if he has the resources or time and energy to do so. Its not worth the measily $500.

I would say you are wrong. Check for example alexa.com domain records. By default it shows whois info for each and every domain. By your theory a lot of people could sue them.

Should probaly think a little harder before you post. Companies like alexa are granted public domain information access and reproduction rights working in relation to the register as in becomes the registers legal right to share that information with such companies when you register a domain. Individuals are not.

It's still against the rules at GFY to post people's personal information regardless of how readily available it is. Plain and simple.
