Maybe I am being an idiot (quite possible) but this dosent make sense to me. These domains cant be renewed or you just arent allowed to re-register it if it expires? Did I miss a rule somewhere?

you can renew these type of 2 char domains as long as you want. But if somehow the name expires then ICAAN keeps the names themselves, meaning it will not be allowed to re-register unlike other domains.
So you know where the value lies now.

Like i told you, keep the minimum to 6.5K as I have already received offers below what. if you approach to buy similar names anyone will hardly go down below 25,000$ , so i think this name is lot cheaper as the owner needs some money urgently.
you can renew the names for as long as you want. its not possible to re-register only and only if you let it DROP( expire)

Thanks, makes sense now. What a nice little scam by ICAAN. I must have missed that one somewhere. Very nice name, but I am just trying to think of what someone could do with it. If I were rich, I'd buy it and make it my e-mail domain. :-)
