Tommy is autobookmarking

Was kind of surprised to see that Tommys Bookmarks suddenly bookmarked in my IE. Paid him a visit again after removing it, and nothing happened.

Later I paid one of the sites listed in his teen section a visit. And what happened: it autobookmarked Tommys. I checked the domain and it is registrered at Thomas Lapertos, owner of Tommys Bookmarks.

I just vivited Tommys Site and there is no new bookmark in my list. Maybe you clicked the final link of the new links, this is always the bookmark link.

cheque, bookmarking from autobookmarking it's different since browser popups message for the title you want for the site. It's hard to believe that a webmaster doesnt remember when and which pages he/she bookmarks.

When I refer to autobookmarking I am not talking about pop-up boxes etc. I am talking about scripts bookmarking without you allowing it to happen.

Or go to http://pornojpg.com/tgp/main.html and get spammed with autobookmarks too. Active X autobookmark scripts are the spam of choice right now. If you set your IE security settings to "Prompt" all Active X scripts, they can't sneak up on you. You'll get an IE warning instead. If you're one of the five people online still using Netscape you're safe. The script won't work.

A tip for all you guys and gals go out and buy the Norton anti-virus program. it stops them scripts dead in their tracks.

I hate them fucking with my book marks and by gawd I won't allow it to happen.

I really don't think serious sites should use autobookmarking. They should know better. 99.99% hate that people fuck with the bookmarks, including me. To bad tommy isn't reading this board.

I usually find auto bookmark scripts in gallery pages, I can't figure why somebody would try to get repeat traffic to a tgp by violating their own visitors. Fowling one's own nest, as it were.

i sent a mail to tommy in order to inform him about this topic. It's not fair to speak for people that don't read what you write. I have downloaded the patch for the IE in the past and I don't experience the problem, but I suppose the rest of you do.

I agree Soul_Rebel. I was writing a mail to tell him, but deleted it when I saw that he owned the site that was autobookmarking.

Should have informed him about this thread, and I'm sorry that I didn't. A mail is on it's way...

No, guys' really, I too got an auto-bookmark from tommy, but I visited the stats pages for New York Whores. (of which I've been promoting for about 18 months now), and I came away with a "tommy's bookmark" too, I couldn't fucking believe it. I mean, that tactic seems to me to be one that newbie kids with bad judgement use, not a veteran webmaster like Tommy. I just figured that maybe he hired a new webmaster to help out, and that webmaster has shit for brains or something.

People, in case anyone has any doubts..... auto-bookmarking or auto-downloading of ANYTHING to the surfer's computer sucks shit with great big lips. Am I fucking clear about this? No? E-fucking-mail me for more clari-fi-fucking-cation.
