I've always stayed away from them cuz I'm a woman. Kinda feel like they may be more fun for guys. And, to be honest, I'm afraid of the male dominated climate. Very sexual and I'm worried that I may be treated/lumped into like the women that are there for entertainment. I would want to go as a professional in this biz, not just another ass to grab ya know?

Any thoughts guys? Could I go and recieve even minimal respect as a fellow webmaster and not just as another pair of tits?

Even if you stay away from the parties...it is a great place for networking and discovering new adult resources.

I went to my first one last Jan. I learned so much! During the day it was mostly business...very professional. I was suprissed to see how many women were in the business too...Im not talking about the models either...there were alot of women involved in the various companies who had booths there. The seminars were very informative too.

Mybee bring your man if you feel uncomfortable...then again, the majority attendees were computer folk ...not the typical "Playas" found at your local club scene. I dont think you would have much of a problem there.

12clicks, I know you're just fucking with me and that was my point all along. If you were interested in making new friends, you wouldn't treat us like you do. Do you think I give a rat's ass "who you are"? All I care about is making friends and contacts in the biz, no matter how great or small.

If you are serious (I really feel like I'm setting myself up LOL) than I would love to have an escort or just as a fellow webmaster that can help me out, instead of insulting me all the time. Not because of who you are, but because you offered.

On the convention floor...it's absolutely on the up and up... Women that are promoting programs are dressed provocatively ... but other wise ... it's a time to grab company promotional materials.

The parties get wild...but it's pretty easy for a guy to tell who is "working" and who is networking. I assume (and I think this is standard) if a woman is walking around (dressed) then she's at teh convention for the same reason i am...to get some business done.

Hope you reconsider... It's a really good time...you'll easily recoup the money you spend with in months.
Also... The Venetian, Mirage, Treasure, Bellagio, and Rio are all awesome hotels - and they're basically a steal at the summer rates. Treat yourself right and stay in one of the plus hotels...rio, venetian, or bellagio.

Has anybody been to the Alladin yet?
I'd like to know what you thought.

April, I've been to a number of conventions and they are speaking the truth, when they say you will be treated fine and maybe if your nice to Lens and 12clicks, they will take you to the parties w/the naked men walking around
