Hi all,

I've gotten to that part of my life where I really don't have any other option but to sell my adult based website.
Home life, and being a father is taking over. So I don't have much time to put into the website anymore.

The idea behind CamWhores was to record live Chaturbate shows and upload them for download.
It worked well, and I enjoyed doing it for many years.
The website is hosted by on a dedicated server provided by KnownSrv.
The website uses the Wordpress CMS.

I gather revenue from a couple of different angles on the website.

1. Where the pictures are hosted (ImageTwist)
2. Where the files are hosted (RapidGator)
3. Advertisements (PopAds)

2. The custom script made myself will also NOT be included in the sale. (This is the script that helps with downloading Chaturbate shows)

The reason why the script isn't for sale is because, it's buggy - it stops sometimes, and I wouldn't be comfortable with selling you a script that half works. For me it's fine, I know how to debug it and get it working again... But for you, I can only see this as being an annoyance.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I think it's a bit of a grey area.

Chaturbate themselves mention in their terms and conditions that any and all information made during 'live streams' are deemed as public information.

This is more of a 'warning' to the streamer... Not the person that is doing the recording.

Again, being completely transparent...
I have now and again have received communication from apparent streamers, saying that they want me to delete all recordings of them... And I have on every occasion agreed to that, and their content is entirely removed from the site.

Ya those are all dmca complaints waiting to happen. Maybe even why he is selling and i see traffic decreasing also. Would make better for a whitelabel cam site if you ask me. Your making about 4-5$ a day total and your servers are 100 and 160 so thats 260 a month and your making 150? Where does a 2600$ valuation come from? Your not even offering the script to download new content and continue the site.

I'm not selling because of DMCA complaints. As I previously said, I'm selling because I want to spend more time with my family.

Yes, 'some' days I'm making 4-5$ a day total.... But only when there are no sales from RapidGator.

Revenue from ImageTwist is approx 0.70$ a day
Revenue from PopAds is approx 3.50$ (this fluctuates depending on how much traffic is coming in... There was a time where this was making 6-7$ per day)
Revenue from RapidGator can be anywhere from 7-50$ per day - Here's another screenshot showing that fact - i.imgur.com/s3xFfGu.png

So yes, 'some' days I make only 4-5$, but others I could make anywhere from 10-50$
And it all adds up.

Let's face it, you don't have to spend so much on the same hosting solution... And you certainly don't have to spend so much on a dedicated server to download the shows.

As for the script... I've explained the reason why I don't want to include it. Basically because it's crap, and buggy as hell. It stops pretty much daily, and requires a lot of attention.

There are other scripts out there that do the same thing, but they are python / linux based, and I don't know anything about either of those.

As for the valuation of 2600$, you're not taking into account the income from RapidGator.
I'm profiting every month.

It would be absolutely great for another 'xxx' webmaster to take ownership and accelerate the growth of the site. Unfortunately it's something that I don't have the time to do.

A great site but its no point buying this because of the only source (your script) of your content is not included in the sale. It would be a pain in the ass for buyer to continue such a site without any or few sources.

Or you can do is to teach or lay guidelines to the buyer on "how to debug the script".

otherwise, the site's growth will go down eventually.

Hey Ashley, it's a nice site and cool concept. And I would be inclined to make an offer but honestly, I (like other gfy'ers above) have a few concerns about the website after the purchase.

First the script, I am not sure how you can make the site grow without having the script to capture the videos and do daily updates. The biz model would probably have to be changed entirely.

Second, the Chaturbate content, I know for a fact that Chaturbate doesn't allow for screen grabs let alone video content being used. (I am not even going to mention that the lack of CB promo) This could be a real legal issue with CB and if they want all the CB related content taken down, there won't be much posts/content left on the site to make any sales.

The main reason why I'm not including the script is because it's coded in VBA !!! A horrible language for this type of thing.

It utilizes Excel to scrap the website, and search for model names, and then it cross references that names against and current open windows processes (these would be recordings already in progress).

If a models name isn't found in the 'process' list then the script knows it's 'ok' to download... So then it calls upon StreamLink (you may have heard of it??)... StreamLink can be called using command line - this is what the code does.

The code automatically runs every 10 minutes, but if Chaturbate is down, or if something else unexpected happens... then the code 'errors'. That happens daily.

I would be required to check on the script daily, to ensure it was running otherwise, I could go days without downloading anything - and that means no content for the site.

Other VBA scripts are also used... Another code to 'rename the files'
Another code to 'organize the video and image links'
Another code to 'create CSV files'

So as you can see, a lot of laborious tasks are done. I wish I know how to program in Python, or another suitable language, and I could automate the whole thing. But at the moment it's just a bit of a mess, and it needs to be done in order.

I hope you now understand why I'm choosing not to sell this script. It's simply not fair on you.

Not when you have other tools out there like Recordurbate which do practically the same thing but in a much better robust language.

Sadly I don't know Linux, or Python, so I can't use it.

Plus the fact that family life is taking over... So that's the factor here, otherwise I wouldn't be selling the site. I've owned the site for 5 years, and I've loved seeing it develop... It's been a good learning curve, but also at the same time... It's been a bit of a hindrance for me.

I hope you understand my stance on this matter.

Best thing hire a coder to re code it

Hard to buy a website when the thing that makes the site run isn't included. be like owning a coffee shop without a coffee machine for people that come into the shop.

People come back to the site for the updates, you are taking that away.

I would get the script re coded and that would put you in a better postion to sell it.

There a dude on another forum that does sell a script that does exactly that for $100 or so!
He set up everything for you , with server and all in auto pilot.

I dont use those script for many reason like other mention above and i LIKE OUR CB PAYOUT
